during quarantine I got sucked into the tufting craze. i bought all of the tools, built a loom, invested in hundreds of dollars worth of organic wool yarn. i was convinced rug making would be my next business LOL. in reality it was a pressure release valve for the identity crisis i was having in general (oops i am gay now) and gave me this hilarious illusion of a backup plan so i could slow down and deconstruct my entire photography practice. i never made a single rug (was too afraid of wasting yarn 🧶) but i still had the urge to have SOMETHING to share all my ideas. i wish someone had told me back then- yo you can literally just make a sticker. it does not have to be a $300 rug.

my favorite part of this is that they are so easy to share. and getting to pop one in the mail and not have price be a major barrier for people is such a goddamn relief because at the end of day there’s just a kid inside of me that wants you at the party and for everyone to have a cupcake, you know? it’s just more fun that way. i was selling via DMs which was horrible for my ADHD and everyone else and my brother realized ilovenotknowing.com was available so then i just bought it lol.

thanks for supporting what started off as a joke as i was approaching my top surgery and then became a very real outlet for grief. i will keep making stickers until the wheels fall off and then i’ll just start walking because i ❤️ walking lol.

when I finished packing up orders this week I looked at the box filled with envelopes and then just burst into tears. i know if you build it they will come but what the actual fuk lol. i cried wishing i could tell my dad all about it, because i know he would have, without a doubt, absolutely fucking loved it. the part of me that is silly and always wants to put on a show for my friends IS my dad. that and my sag stellium in the 5th house lol. i laughed and cried all the way to the neighborhood mailbox. 💌 thanks to everyone who placed an order in August.
