Dua to remove grudges:

رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالْإِيمَانِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ رَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ

"Our Lord! Forgive us and our fellow believers who preceded us in faith, and do not allow bitterness into our hearts towards those who believe. Our Lord! Indeed, You are Ever Gracious, Most Merciful."

A grudge left in the heart doesn't stay still. It quietly colours everything: your worship, your peace, your ability to move forward. This dua asks Allah to remove what you may not even be able to remove yourself. Because some things are too heavy to let go of alone. And He knows that.

Make this your dua today, for yourself as much as for anyone else.

"and pray for forgiveness before dawn." Surah Adh-Dhariyat, verse 18

There is a specific quality to morning light that nothing else in the day carries. The early hours hold a barakah that dissipates as the day fills up. Maybe that's why catching it, even accidentally, feels like something was placed there for you to find. A reminder that you woke up, that mercy is still available, that today is still open.

The Prophet ﷺ said iman increases and decreases. He didn't say that as a warning. He said it so you would stop being afraid of the dip. This was not a new problem then and it is not a crisis now. What they prescribed was simple: return to dhikr, return to salah, return to the company of those who remind you of Allah.

The low is part of it. Keep going.

He could have made guidance automatic. Universal. Built in. He didn't. Which means being drawn toward Allah, feeling the pull toward prayer, toward dua, toward wanting to be better is a mercy being extended specifically to you, right now, in this moment of your life.

"Had Allah willed, He could have easily made all ˹humanity˺ into a single community ˹of believers˺. But He admits into His mercy whoever He wills. And the wrongdoers will have no protector or helper." Surah Ash-Shuraa, verse 8

"Allah is Ever Kind to His servants. He provides ˹abundantly˺ to whoever He wills. And He is the All-Powerful, Almighty." Surah Ash-Shuraa, verse 19

There is a name of Allah, Al-Latif. The Subtle. The Gentle. The One who reaches you through the cracks, in the moments you can barely hold yourself together on the prayer mat. He doesn't only meet you at your strongest. He meets you exactly here: eyes blurry, voice shaky, mind scattered, heart heavy, still trying.

Al-Latif is the One whose kindness arrives in ways too precise to be coincidence. The ayah that lands at the right moment. The unexpected calm after the cry. The ability to keep returning, even when returning feels like the hardest thing.

Struggling doesn't halt the conversation. You'll always be able to reach Him like how He reaches you.

"With Him are the keys of the unseen. No one knows them except Him. And He knows what is in the land and sea. Not even a leaf falls without His knowledge, nor a grain in the darkness of the earth or anything—green or dry—but is ˹written˺ in a perfect Record." - Surah Al-An'am, verse 59

Before you were named. Before your parents met. Before the circumstances that shaped you were even set in motion, Allah knows your story. Every chapter you haven't reached yet, every door that hasn't opened, every loss that hasn't healed, every prayer that still feels unanswered, it was all written with full knowledge of who you are and what you need.

Move through your life knowing that the One who holds every unseen key wrote your story with more love than you can possibly fathom.

What do you do to remind yourself about this? When has this reminder really helped you refresh yourself and get back on track?

This dua doesn't ask for things to go differently. It asks for the peace to accept however they go. That is a level of trust that doesn't come naturally. It has to be asked for, practised, returned to again and again until the heart starts to believe what the tongue is saying.

Make this your dua today. And mean it as much as you can.

Cowardice, miserliness, the trials of dunya, the fitna of the grave, these were things even the most beloved to Allah sought protection from daily. If he ﷺ asked for refuge from them, what does that tell us about how seriously we should take them?

Add this to your adhkar after salah. It takes thirty seconds and it covers everything 🤲

This is the final verse of a surah that opened by swearing on the night sky and the piercing star. After everything: the reminder of resurrection, of a soul with no helper, of a plan being set, Allah closes with patience. Just a little while. That's all that's being asked. Of you, of the moment, of the outcome you can't yet see.

Whatever you are waiting on Allah to resolve, it is being handled. Give it its time.

"Indeed, We created humans in the best form." - Surah At-Tin, verse 4

Recovery was never something you had to figure out alone. Allah placed it inside you, in the way your body closes what was opened, mends what was broken, and keeps going even when you've convinced yourself it can't. The heart that feels shattered is still beating. That is not an accident. That is mercy, built into your design before you ever needed it.

Whatever you are carrying right now, you were made to survive it.

Friday carries a mercy that no other day holds. In it is an hour where nothing asked of Allah is turned away. So ask. Ask for the rizq that is halal and barakah-filled. Ask for ease in what feels heavy. Ask for what you hope for and protection from what you fear. Don't let this Friday pass in silence.

May Allah answer every dua made today.
