POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

My kids have grown up attending a much beloved summer camp each year, the excitement of getting their trunks together as their term approached, the fun stories they wrote home, and the fondness and devotion they have for the camp during and even long after they aged out, has been really special to witness as a parent. I didn’t really have that experience as a kid, so there’s times maybe I didn’t ‘get it’?

This year when I was at @harvesters_in_the_holler I had an ah-ha epiphany moment…this event IS my ‘summer camp’!! The anticipation as the weekend approaches, packing up all the gear, the travel there and back, the phenomenal and life long friends that are family, that we often only get to see once or twice a year (but embrace, say hello, chat and catch up as if no time had passed), the child like giddiness and joy to just BE there, the trucks of course!, the activities and traditions, the time being outdoors and exploring …ALL of it!! It is so cool and SO special and anyone who makes the trip to Crossville TN, totally ‘gets it’. Amiright!?

See y’all next year happy campers!

Before there was @ihscoutsatx and @bareknucklebinder in Austin there was @austinadventuremobileclub with the extremely catchy slogan “we like ‘em old and topless” (haha I couldn’t get my hands on enough of their swag)

This club was run by some of the coolest kids, and some of my very first friends in the Scout scene in town. But being the young’uns that they were, they grew up, got married, started having babies…and got too busy for / grew out of the club, and sadly, some of their trucks. Thankfully they still come out to car stuff and we still see them around! @gilmergreen @roland___rivas @djacks512

@adamshelly is one of those cool kids, and in bittersweet style, his 1978 Scout is now for sale. Hopefully someone can snag it up and give it an awesome next chapter.

On the road to Crossville Tennessee, for the 6th!! year of @harvesters_in_the_holler . 2021 was aka Trucks and Trails and the first trip from TX. I’ve driven my grey Scout the 2k mile round trip some years, some years I’ve piggy backed on @ihbuilder ‘s trailer. It’s a long haul, but very worth it. A lot has changed in the last 5 years, for us all personally, the landscape of the Gram, the Scout culture, and the world around us…but our love for this wonderful event, the people from all over that make it so special, and the beautiful @oaklawnfarms endures.

See y’all in the holler!

Little sister @hulk_logan with another sweet New Braunfels Scout spotting! She was snapping pics when the owner walked up, they chatted a bit, he was giddy she knew it was a Scout and NOT a Bronco haha! #relatable

Logan showed him this account, he was thrilled to see the community around here and loved the idea of a meetup. He’s not on IG but his wife is @lauren_lindner18 …hopefully I’ll stop slacking and get motivated to actually plan another meetup again soon.

Some before and afters of a handful of the round top projects we’ve been working on. Building the dream, together, and making the home ours, has been a really special experience. So many decisions and selections, sourcing and coordinating, it’s a lot, but teamwork makes the dream work! The furniture is all in, now the fun part of filling it with meaningful art and accessories, our collections (so many vintage coolers haha!), good times and sweet memories. We are so proud of how things have turned out and can’t wait to share it with all our friends and family. 🏡❤️ @ihbuilder #fiveyearplan #nuestro

Special thanks to @rojasfamilytile for the skill and fantastic execution in making every step of the remodel visions come to life and @pjswoodshoplgtx for the amazing craftsmanship of the laundry and vanity cabinetry. taken in Round Top, Texas by @ihscoutsatx

9.5 years difference between these two pics. Delivery day Feb, 2017 to just a random summer day cruising around to all the things. So much has changed on this truck, but so much still the same. 🩶🤍🖤

Finally stopped raining after a couple weeks of spotty unpredictable storms and relentless drizzle. Got to fire up ol faithful and cruise around soaking up some vitamin D ☀️

Still drive ‘em when I can, but hardly take pics of my trucks around town anymore, so felt like marking the occasion on the grid. Will get around to putting the soft top on one of these days.
