Meet our team🌟
Behind every vision is a group of people who believe deeply in purpose, representation, and community. Today we would like to introduce to you all the founder of the IIFC Model Sector, Brittany Clause @brittanykatelyn_ 🤍

Brittany Clause, Haudenosaunee, Cayuga Nation from Six Nations of the Grand River Territory, Ontario Canada. Belonging to Upper Cayuga Sour Springs Longhouse, Wolf Clan. ✨
Brittany is an established International Fashion Model, creating history—etching the first Canadian Indigenous mother-model to travel four different fashion forward countries, participating in high-fashion luxury Fashion runway showcases including London United Kingdom, New York, Los Angeles, Toronto Canada, and Hong Kong, China. Brittany truly believes and continues the good fight of authentic Indigenous representation; thus her runway debut took place during London United Kingdom’s Fashion Week, House of Ikons 2022, mentored by America’s Next Top Models Kiara Belen and Victoria Henley, The Fashion Life Tour. In 2013, Brittany completed her Bachelors in Health Sciences graduating with honors, and became New Mexico Gathering of Nation’s Miss Indian World 1st Runner Up & Best Dancer Award.✨
Brittany takes great pride in her matrilineal culture. She devotes her life towards raising her children, under the divinity and birthright of pursing dreams! Ensuring authentic Indigenous People and our rich-inherited, unique beauty is represented confidently throughout mainstream Fashion showcases around the world, while empowering communities to reclaim their ancestral dreams and wisdom. ✨

We are so honored to have Brittany as one of our fearless leaders bringing her expertise, knowledge and care to drive us to success 🌟

Meet the Team 🌟
Tonight, we’re proud to introduce one of the co-founders of the IIFC Model Sector, Brittany Silverhorn Briggs, also known as Snowbird Woman @snowbird.woman ✨

Brittany is an enrolled member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma and also carries Choctaw lineage on her mother’s side. Her modeling journey began in 2017 and has continued throughout the years across the United States, building experience both on and off the runway. Deeply involved in the traditional ceremonies of her tribe, Brittany dances alongside her relatives throughout the year, remaining closely connected to her roots and the responsibility of carrying cultural practices forward.✨

In addition to her work in fashion, Brittany has participated in public speaking engagements for Native American heritage and educational initiatives, including presentations for elementary students, high school assemblies, adult audiences, military personnel, panel discussions, and virtual programs, using her voice to advocate for cultural understanding, representation, and community empowerment.✨

Brittany currently serves as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force, where her leadership background strengthens her advocacy, experience, and artistry. This foundation allows her to bring both structure and intention to the work she helps build within the Model Sector.✨

As an Indigenous model, creative director, and community organizer, Brittany is deeply committed to authentic representation and the protection of model wellbeing within Indigenous fashion. Her vision for the Model Sector centers on transparency, education, opportunity, and connection, ensuring models are not only seen, but truly supported.✨

Rooted in culture and driven by purpose, Brittany approaches her role with care, accountability, and a long-term view for growth. Whether coordinating resources, connecting models with designers, or helping establish sustainable industry standards, her goal remains the same: to create a space where Indigenous models can thrive with confidence and community behind them. We’re grateful for her leadership, her heart, and the standard she helps set within IIFC.✨

A recent video reposted by Fashionista shows @cfda CFDA CEO Steven Kolb physically restraining a @peta PETA protester during a fashion show, including placing his hand over the protester’s mouth.

At the International Indigenous Fashion Council we must speak up and against this issue. It is unacceptable and violence is never an answer!

🪶
People can disagree with PETA. They can disagree with protest tactics. They can disagree about fur, materials, activism, or how demonstrations happen inside fashion spaces.

That is not the issue.

🪶
The issue is what happens when disagreement becomes physical.
🔥
Leaders of major fashion institutions carry a responsibility to model restraint, professionalism, and appropriate responses even in tense situations. Security, event protocols, and lawful removal procedures exist for a reason.
🔥
The International Indigenous Fashion Council does not condone violence or physical intimidation as a response to protest or disagreement.
🔥
Fashion needs difficult conversations. It also needs leadership capable of having them without putting hands on people.

IIFC Model Mondays for @iifc.modelsector is back! Meet @__amberleighh ! An amazing human all around! Read the bio below!

Tansi! My name is Amber Bellerose, and I am a Cree–Métis and Thai woman from Treaty 6 Territory in amiskwacîwâskahikan (Edmonton, Alberta).

Before anything else, I am a mother to three incredible children. They are my greatest purpose and the reason I strive to walk through life with courage, kindness, and integrity. Motherhood has taught me resilience, unconditional love, and the importance of creating a future where Indigenous children can see themselves reflected with pride.

Professionally, I am a Métis Family Resource Worker and am currently pursuing my Master’s in Social Work. Every day, I have the privilege of walking alongside Métis families, supporting them in reclaiming culture, strengthening connections, and navigating systems with dignity. My work has taught me that representation extends far beyond the runway—it lives in every relationship we build and every person we uplift.

This year, I was deeply honoured to receive the Heart of the City Cultural Impact Award. It was a reminder that impact is not measured by recognition alone, but by the way we serve our communities with humility, reciprocity, and heart.

Modeling has become an extension of that purpose. Every runway is an opportunity to celebrate Indigenous excellence, honour the generations who came before me, and help create space for those still finding their place. I don’t walk only for myself—I walk carrying my ancestors, my children, my community, and the hope that another Indigenous youth will see themselves reflected and know they belong. by @iifc.modelsector

✨ Wrapping up this Friday with celebration as we honor the models helping preserve intentional connection within IIFC as official Earth Daughter Ambassadors. ✨

As we continue building spaces rooted in culture, collaboration, and community, we are proud to recognize our official meeting note takers who will be volunteering their time and attention to help document our conversations manually and thoughtfully. 🤍

Their contributions help us prioritize human presence, active listening, and genuine engagement during our meetings and gatherings while helping eliminate the use of ai in our space. 🏞️

Learn more about this movement and the impact our team is doing by visiting https://www.earthdaughterswa.org/

Thank you for supporting IIFC with care, dedication, and heart. 🌎✨DM us today to join our mindful and caring team🫶🏽

Un-forgotten

The missing women,
The Lost Daughters,
the Unforgotten.
The cries are heard Throughout the Valley.
She runs at night,
Hunted under the Moon, She flees.
Her body goes numb,
Mind distant,
She keeps her fire close to her heart.
Grandmothers weep,
Families Cry,
The missing women are not forgotten.
The snow breaks under her weight,
Barefoot and cold...Bleeding,
She looks to the horizon, not looking back.
She runs, And flees, And Fights!
Memories of hope,
Not forgotten...
We the living hunt for the lost.
Taken from us,
Taken from her child,
Taken from her dreams...
Her shell dress moves

To the wind,
"Your spirit is with us!"
The Tribe does not sleep
Until she
Comes Home

- Dante
