One week ago today, we held our very first service at @row24chi and God showed up in a mighty way! From signage and visual displays to parking, there were plenty of moving parts, but nothing could stop the move of God in our new worship space. The highlight? Someone gave their life to Jesus. WOW! We’re still rejoicing!

As we continue to fine-tune our new space, our hearts are overflowing with excitement for what God has done and is still doing through Love Church. A huge thank you to everyone who came out to our first service. Your presence meant the world to us!

My heart is still so full. 💕
Thank you to everyone who came out to support Love Church’s first Women’s Ministry event—especially in the cold! The love in that room was strong, the atmosphere was anointed, and the Holy Spirit truly met us there.
I am deeply grateful for our amazing guest speakers: Dr. Kim, @deannamorales @jj_stuhner and @i_am_sowell Thank you for your courage, your transparency, and for sharing your personal journeys through divorce, grief, and cancer. Your testimonies blessed us more than words can express.
To every woman who showed up, opened her heart, and shared her story—thank you. You made this a safe space. You made this a sacred place. I pray that God answers every healing request written on those index cards and prayed over.
A special thank you to Minister Tish @proudmommytish for that powerful, life-changing prayer.
I pray God is building a new sisterhood here, a true tribe where every woman feels seen, supported, and connected. This is only the beginning. I’m excited for our quarterly gatherings, our monthly meet-ups, and for continuing to grow together in faith, love, and community at Love Church.

As I reflect on this past week and this weekend, one word keeps coming to mind: PIVOT.

Life has an uncanny way of reminding us that no matter how carefully we make our plans, sometimes everything can change at a moment’s notice.

I had every intention of being at my church’s Gospel Run this weekend. But with the passing of my uncle, my plans changed, and I found myself traveling to the Mississippi Delta to celebrate his life and having the honor of speaking at his funeral.

And sometimes, the place you didn’t plan to be becomes the place God uses to speak to you.

It was good to see family.
Good to reconnect with old friends.
Good to revisit familiar landmarks.
And surreal to travel roads and pass through places that were once such a normal part of my life during my years at Jackson State.

But as I drove, I found myself paying attention differently.

I noticed how much had changed.

And then I noticed how much hadn’t.

Seeing rebel flags and Trump flags openly displayed in front yards caused me to reflect on the racial realities I experienced growing up and attending college in Mississippi and the work our country still has ahead of us.

But after sitting with it, another thought came to me:

Maybe Mississippi wasn’t the only thing I was observing. Maybe I was observing how much I had changed.

Maybe some things had always been there.

Maybe I simply see them differently now.

Because time doesn’t just change places time changes perspective.

And sometimes you have to go back to an old place to realize you are no longer the person who left it.

I went to Mississippi to say goodbye to my uncle, but I came home reflecting on family, history, grief, growth, race, faith, and just how much life can change.

This weekend reminded me:

Plans change. Seasons change. People change. But every pivot has the potential to reveal something we couldn’t see from where we were standing before.

Sometimes the interruption IS the assignment.

And sometimes going back doesn’t take you backward it shows you just how far you’ve come. by @iirockit

WORSHIP & WELLNESS…WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY! ❤️🙌🏾

My heart is FULL. Thank you to every woman who came out and supported Love Church. The turnout was amazing, but the atmosphere was even better.

The worship was HIGH.
The anointing was in the room.
Healing was in the room.
SISTERHOOD was in the room. ❤️

A special thank you to Christie @iamchristiewithanie for our beautiful sound bath experience, our amazing vendors, and MY TEAM who worked so hard to make this day a success.

And to my Ladies of Love, I LOVE YOU! ❤️ It is truly a blessing to do ministry and life alongside you.

We came to worship.
We came to breathe.
We came to heal.
We left a little FULLER than we came. 🙌🏾✨
