Spend Easter with us 🌱

Join us this Sunday for our regular mālama ʻāina work day, followed by a potluck and Easter egg hunt.

What better way to spend Easter than on ʻāina.

ʻĀina is akua, and we have to mālama her every single day. And just as important we have to take care of each other and ourselves.

The past few weeks have been heavy. So much of our kaiāulu has been showing up for one another and for Molokaʻi. But we can’t forget we are ʻāina too. We need time to reset, to breathe, to reconnect.

We promise this is a space to do just that.

Malama Molokaʻi Guidelines:

1. To respect the home of Molokai residents we will only be taking VETTED VOLUNTEERS.
2. Due to the limited resources and supplies pls bring your own tools, safety gear and lunch.
3. Disinfect ANY/ALL tools BEFORE heading to Molokai.
4. Volunteers must stay with their coordinator, unless discussed otherwise.

Be advised times for anything is very fluid. Meaning whenever the boat Capt arrives is when he arrives. Whenever the work begins and ends is determined by where and what the work is that we’re doing.

Molokai was the very first to come to our aid immediately after the Lahaina fires. Stripping all of their already limited resources to help us. We’re so humbled to be able to reciprocate that same aloha back to them.

NA WAHINE KOI firmly oppose the reopening of the lahaina harbor during makahiki, a sacred time for our people- or any time for that matter. The great disruption these tours, tour operators, and tourists create and the wake of destruction that follows everything they touch is welcome no longer, and never truly has been in our opinion as kiai of ko hawaii pae aina, her people and her places. It is not up to the fake state, or the county, or any faction thereof to dictate when and how our sacred spaces are available for oogling and ogling by eyes that are hungry for ownership and hands that do not know respect and reciprocal relationships. This is not their decision to make. Na wahine koi stand ALWAYS for our people to be the rightful stewards of this land, as we have been for many generations. We stand as the first and last line of defense for our aina, our kupuna, and our KULEANA as a collective LAHUI.
