Tsuyuri finished her mission report and headed to her usual spot on the rocks to clear her head. To her surprise, Gaara was there, and he greeted warmly. It had been a long time since they had spent any time together. Being a Kazekage was a demanding role after all. Even more so now that Gaara had become a revered Kage among the nations after the last Shinobi War.

As they sat together, Gaara and Tsuyuri reminisced about the good old times. Gaara recalled that they were on the very spot where he had told Kankurou about his dream to become a Kazekage. He chuckled softly, remembering how Tsuyuri was hiding behind a rock, listening in on their conversation back then.

A brief silence filled the air as Gaara slowly lowered his eyes to the ground, his voice taking a more serious tone as he asked Tsuyuri a question that he has on his mind for the longest time…

Gaara just loves Tsuyuri’s hair ❤️

Suddenly felt like animating hair movement that has nothing to do with the wind. There’s a little sequence for a story in this, hence I’m putting it as a WIP. But I’m not sure when I’ll animate the rest so I added a temporary background to make this look nicer 😜

Finally hopping aboard this really cute trend! 🍔🛼 Used some of my rusty skills and finally finished these two~ I had so much fun drawing Tsuyuri in a diner outfit and roller skates. I can imagine her and Gaara zipping through a diner and getting things done so efficiently 😁

There is something so beautiful about the way Tsuyuri holds her child.

The way she sways without thinking.
The way she lingers for one more moment before laying him down.
The way she memorises every little detail, knowing these moments will not last forever.

After a lifetime of carrying responsibilities, secrets and war… In this moment, she is simply a mother.

Akashi may never remember these quiet moments but Tsuyuri will cherish every single one of them.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀.✧. ✧. ✧.

𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆: Akashi was born when Tsuyuri went away with the Mikazuki clan. Gaara has no idea he had a child until Tsuyuri returned 10 years later…

This has been in the works since before Mother’s Day. Better late than never ☺️ Inspired by my own motherhood journey and how I carry my baby most of the time. Bubba is growing so quick 🥹 I hope you feel the vibes I was going for ❤️

After the intensity of it all, the world becomes a quieter, more peaceful place… and all Gaara can feel is Tsuyuri’s heartbeat and warmth… 🥰

Just a little something to break up my hiatus. I knew I would not be able to post for Christmas, New Year, my birthday, Tsuyuri’s birthday, Gaara’s birthday or Lunar New Year, so I worked on this V-Day post for awhile and… I still missed it 😆 Better late than never I guess.

I miss seeing Gaara and Tsuyuri together ☺️ They really are my comfort pairing.

There was a myth about a Moon Goddess 🌙, who can only descend on Earth on days of the full moon. Once, during her time on Earth, she met a mortal man 🐑 and they fell in love ❤️.

Their love was however… forbidden. Yet, they continued to meet in secret, in a hidden place they call their sanctuary. Here, the rest of the world seem to fade away and it was just them.

After so many months, I finally finished this WIP ☺️❤️ It is their Myth of Shinobi design - Tsuyuri as the Moon Goddess, and Gaara as the mortal 😬 In this AU, I pictured a forbidden love sort of storyline. Under Kimimaro’s guidance, Akari and Gensei were both training partners. They have an interesting relationship, a mix of rivalry yet care for each other like siblings. As part of training, they made a pact where either one can strike at each other without warning within the premises of the hideout.

But no matter how many times Gensei tried, he had never once managed to catch Akari off guard 🤭

【 ℂℍ𝔼𝔼𝕂𝕐 𝔹𝕌𝔹𝔹𝔸 】

Gaara and Tsuyuri watched eagerly as their baby, Shuna, was learning to stand up on her own. Their hearts skipped a beat when she wobbled and toppled over but to their relief, she caught herself just in time.

Instead of crying, Shuna looked back between her legs at her parents and made some cheerful and reassuring noises. As if to tell them that she was ok.

Shuna is truly a cheeky child ❤️

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀.✧. ✧. ✧.

While working with special needs children and their parents, there were many times I have to get parents to let go and to let their child explore and learn things on their own. It was difficult. There were many times, I just held my breath in anticipation too as the child make mistakes or fall (without hurting themselves). I’m happy to say that most of the time, the child learns much quicker and becomes more confident about themselves ❤️

I can imagine how Gaara and Tsuyuri really had to hold themselves back from picking Shuna up and breaking her fall 🥹 They are quite protective 😬

So glad I finally finished this WIP~❤️ Drawing the background killed me and I couldn’t even get myself to render it until today. I had to stop myself from redrawing the whole thing too haha 🤭

She came to a halt, her legs too heavy to take another step… All she can think about was her team mates, Masaki and Yuichi. They were ambushed by Mugenshu and Tsuyuri was taken in exchange for their lives… Did the enemy held up the end of their bargain? She can only hope so…
