I'm overwhelmed. I'm overjoyed. I'm excited. I've long dreamed of being among the exceptional class of journalists who received the Edward R. Murrow award. Now I am, and with a show that was my creation. I'm forever grateful for all "ZIP Codes with Imaeyen." by @iiwrites

Thank you so much to @allwomeninmedia and everyone at The Gracies. I've long been in awe of the women and the work that's been able to win this prestigious national award. It's been my longtime goal to earn one.

This year, at the end of entry window, I decided to bet on myself by self funding an application for best original digital video series. Seeing "ZIP Codes with Imaeyen" win means so much to me because it's my baby, my brainchild, and I love doing it. I hope to continue contextualizing people's stories in this franchise.

The awards ceremony in Beverly Hills was amazing and I met so many incredible women. I'm inspired to keep growing and elevating my work. I'm so grateful 🙏🏾 by @iiwrites

I am now an Emmy Award winner. Along with my colleague @michael.bendeck I've been awarded in the health and medical category for my documentary on maternity deserts in New York and the U.S. I'm gutted I couldn't be there in attendance, but I'm so thankful to the judges, the fellow nominees, and most importantly, the midwives and pregnant women who trusted me with their stories. THANK YOU SO MUCH. This means more than you know. by @iiwrites

Who Gets to Have a Baby in the U.S.?
A surrogate’s controversial custodial fight set off a legal battle and a social media firestorm that could have upended fertility access in the U.S. When Alaskan surrogate McKenna West learned the fetus she carried had a life-threatening congenital heart defect, the biological parents asked to terminate the pregnancy. Instead, she left the state and wrote an op-ed about it. The case escalated all the way to the Supreme Court.

So much of the conversation around this story has focused on abortion rights and accessibility. But this is actually about infertility and who gets to conceive in the U.S. by @iiwrites

This is the truth about republicans and health care. A 2025 republican congress made serious cuts to health care and ensured they wouldn’t take effect until after the 2026 midterms. This is one example of how the GOP’s approach to health care coverage is out of alignment with its messaging. Ask yourself why a key opponent to health care coverage, who spent months missing in action because of a health care crisis, has much better health insurance than you. by @iiwrites

Why Is It So Expensive to Die in the U.S.?
The price of dying is rising and the living are the ones shouldering the financial burden. At one of the most vulnerable times in their lives, consumers face price-gouging death care. And many are left in debt. But why is this happening? The villains are more familiar than you realize. by @iiwrites
