7 days. 40 miles hiked afoot through the horse ranch range. Countless hours spent behind the glass. And then… there he was.

It all started with a 3,600 mile drive from our home in Georgia to the mountains of British Columbia. In search of just a legal ram. I would have never expected the first ram I came across would be him. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good!

TOP 5 AT LAKE MARTIN! 🎣🔥

Cody Campbell and Isaac Powell represented Brewton-Parker Fishing this weekend at the @auburnuniversitybassteam qualifier on Lake Martin, bringing 11.60 lbs to the scales to finish 5th place overall!

Their bag was anchored by a 4.96 lb largemouth, helping the Barons bring home valuable School of the Year points.

A strong weekend on Lake Martin and another step forward for Brewton-Parker Fishing. On to the next one! ⚔️🎣

It’s been 7 years since I last turkey hunted in Georgia.
Super excited and blessed to have worked this old, double bearded tom in and harvest him!

Romania, home to the largest population of brown bears in Europe (excluding European Russia). After nine years, the bear hunting ban was lifted, and there were bears everywhere.

It was a great time visiting the iconic Transylvania region and experiencing its unique culture and tradition.

Sleepless nights. Hundreds of kilometers each day. Blood, sweat… and Tsetse flies. Hunting lions in Niassa was a grind.

This lion was hunted only a kilometer away from a nearby village. Local villages had set fires throughout the forest to try and scare it away. But the lion was still hanging around.

Funds from a single hunt directly pay for:
• Anti-poaching patrols protecting lions, elephants, and countless other species
• Salaries for local rangers working in one of Africa’s most remote wildernesses
• Meat and income for nearby villages living alongside lions

Without this revenue, the 16,000 square mile Niassa Reserve couldn’t be effectively protected. Leading to more poaching, habitat loss, and fewer lions.

Some people expect every male lion to have a massive black mane. In Niassa’s hot, humid climate, males naturally grow lighter, smaller manes. It’s a regional difference, not a sign of youth.

in Mozambique’s Niassa Reserve, one of Africa’s most regulated wildlife programs. Every hunt is approved by government biologists, and only males at least 6 years old are selected. Pride males with dependent cubs are never taken. Removing aging males actually reduces violent pride takeovers that often endanger cubs.

This is conservation through sustainable use. Ensuring lions remain a thriving part of Niassa’s ecosystem for generations to come. taken in Mozambique by @ij.powell

Day 1 success!

After a great hunt at Cahora Bassa we headed to the Niassa reserve in Northern Mozambique. It was a very eventful evening. Despite getting a leopard it couldn’t have been possible without the crew at @cabassasafarismoz ! The pre-baiting, scouting, and all the work put in before hand increased a successful result immensely.
