While recording how sweet my girl is and how much she loves on me when I get home from work, I noticed I looked 6 months pregnant. 😔

My cycle is over, but the cramps are still so severe, and then this morning I woke up drenched from night sweats.

Dealing with this some days makes me so self-conscious and sad. I am so incredibly uncomfortable in my own body.

They say women with endometriosis are warriors, but today I don't feel much like a warrior. 💛

Good Morning and Happy Saturday!

It is a self care weekend over here!

Started with a fresh retwist last night, and this morning I am getting a mani and pedi while starting Verity. 🙄🤭

Today I was supposed to be seeing Chris Brown and Usher, but unfortunately, they canceled the added shows last week. I am still pretty bummed about it because I was really looking forward to going.

But it's alright! It is still going to be a great day. A little self care, some relaxation, a good book, and then off to the kiddos' football games later this afternoon and evening! I can't complain! ❤️ by @ikeamarie

Good Morning and Happy Friday……

In today’s news here in Ikea Land 😂

My 6 yr old daughter is using sign language to communicate with me…. 🤷🏽‍♀️😂

How we got here you ask?

She is learning on her own because one of her best friends at school has a father who is deaf, and she wants to be able to understand him and her friend when she uses sign language. Her friend is a CODA, and sometimes forgets where she is at lol 😂 and my girl said yea enough of me not understanding, let me go on and learn on my own. ❤️

It has actually helped me brush up on my ASL. I am remembering a little. I can understand a little again 😂.

Fun fact: deaf studies use to be my minor by @ikeamarie

💛 LET'S TALK ENDOMETRIOSIS AGAIN!!!!! 💛

Y'all, I had my second opinion with an endometriosis specialist, and BABYYYY, I have NEVER felt so SEEN and HEARD! 😭🥹

Dr. Padhy was AMAZING! We discussed how endometriosis affects SO much more than our reproductive organs, including our mental health, nerves, inflammation, and overall quality of life.

What got me was that she could SEE my exhaustion. She asked about my practically nonexistent sleep and actually APOLOGIZED for how long I've been suffering. Y'all, I could have CRIED! 😭

We discussed my treatment options, the risks, and the fact that there is NO cure. But for once, someone considered what this disease has already taken from me.

My confidence, energy, intimacy, mental health, and sometimes even the love I have for my own body. 💔

I'm sharing another picture of my endo belly because THIS is my reality. Some days I barely recognize myself, but I'm learning my body isn't the enemy.

ANYWHOOOO, after weighing everything, I'VE DECIDED TO MOVE FORWARD WITH A HYSTERECTOMY! 🙌🏾💛

JANUARY 29TH, 2027!

I know it's not a cure, but MY QUALITY OF LIFE MATTERS TOO! I want to feel like ME again, and for the first time in a long time, I'm HOPEFUL!

If you're in Frederick and struggling with endometriosis, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Padhy!

Here's to healing, new beginnings, and learning to love this body again!

BUT GOD! 🙌🏾💛 by @ikeamarie

🏈💚🖤 IT'S HOMECOMING WEEKEND!!🖤💚🏈

This one is a little bittersweet for me because this is Jasiah's LAST year playing junior league football. Y'all, my baby is really on his way to HIGH SCHOOL!! 😭😭 Like seriously, WHO told these kids they could grow up so fast?!

Jasiah has been playing with Tuscarora since he was at the Pony level, and now here we are getting ready to close out this chapter. 🥹 I swear it feels like just yesterday he was my little boy running around on that field, and now I'm watching him grow into a young man right before my eyes.

And listen, I am NOT okay! 😂😭 Y'all know that's MY BABY, and apparently I'm the biggest baby of them all because the thought of him going to high school has me ready to cry every five minutes!

I'm so proud of the young man he's becoming, but goodness, this growing-up stuff is not for the weak! 😩❤️

So here's to another homecoming, his last one in junior league, and all the memories he's made along the way. Mama is going to be an emotional mess, but I'll be his biggest cheerleader like I've always been! 💚🖤

Does anybody else’s kid do this? by @ikeamarie

#repost because life is busy and packing is a B WORD 😂 Things have definitely turned a corner, I just don’t have time to record right now.

And honestly, even with all the good happening, I still have moments where I question if I’m doing enough. Then I look at my kids, their innocence, their happiness, and realize my shit hasn’t reached them. They’re loved, happy, and getting to just be kids.

That reminds me I’m doing something right. ❤️ I still have time to grow, heal, and fully blossom. 🌱

Happy Wednesday my loves ❤️ by @ikeamarie
