the stunning @munirasultan ❤️‍🔥 by @ikhlascaptures

I know this is a little outside of my usual content, but I used to do a lot of photojournalism & street photography, and honestly, I miss it so much.

I used to go on photo walks, take my camera everywhere I went, and photograph whatever caught my eye. there was something so special about simply walking around with no plan, slowing down, observing the world, and freezing little moments in time.

I haven’t done much of that lately because life has gotten so busy, but In Shaa Allah, I hope to find my way back to it.

there’s something so beautiful about photography, being able to preserve a moment that would have otherwise passed by in a matter of seconds, and years later, still be able to look at that photograph and remember exactly how it felt.

I took these two photographs in Fez, Morocco circa 2021, and they remain one of my favorite captures to this day.

the first is of two little boys who had been playing football before sitting down to rest. the second is of another young boy working hard, cleaning fish at the Moroccan piers to help provide for his family.

two completely different moments, but both reminded me of why I fell in love with photography in the first place: people, stories, and the beauty found in moments we might otherwise overlook.

I hope I never lose that part of myself. 🤍

had the absolute best time photographing Ruhy Atelier’s latest bridal collection at the Film By Two studio in Brooklyn this past weekend. the delicate lace hijabs with the most ethereal silhouettes, and pieces were designed for the Muslim bride. 🕯️⭐️🤍 @ruhyangel

the collection dropped at 8am EST today, check it out at ruhyatelier.com by @ikhlascaptures
