POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last week I posted the biggest documentary project I’ve completed, and it took nearly 5 years!! 🤯

The how and the why of this taking so long is a story for another time, but what feels significant now is the choice to return.

Returning to memories, feelings, and different versions of ourselves. Honoring the roots of our interconnectedness with different forms of consciousness as we navigate changes in our shared world. If you’re curious, I hope you’ll take a look. 🐒

Crossings in 郡上八幡 (Gugo Hachiman, Gifu, Japan)

The best time to post is 9 months after your trip, right? Still thinking about this foggy mountain town… taken in Gifu, Japan by @ikigai____studios

Last fall I had the pleasure of completing a passion project- grown as a seed of an idea in the heat of the summer at @tempgardendc.

This place has become a second home for me, and I wanted to create something that attempted to encapsulate my experience being in this community. 🪱

When I had the opportunity to create a visual abstract for a project in my Environmental Justice course this fall, I jumped on the excuse to drive back to DC and lead a Patchwork Poetry workshop on one of the last fall weekends of the garden, using our compiled and scrambled words over archival and present day footage in the garden & in DC. 🌸

“Sometimes, when you get a bit older, you realize you just gotta let things go… forgive & forget” — @lukewhereyougoing

Seeing the Kooks for the first time live was an absolute thrill I’ve been waiting for years to experience! The performance was eclectic, playful and healing to connect back to past versions of myself through the music that came straight from the heart. One year ago today I came back from driving like an insane person around the country and camping in my Prius. 💨

It was incredibly eye opening but not all sunshine and roses— and I wanted to share some fears, reflections and vulnerability around this journey in writing and photos.

I realized I never wrote a blog, which I #regret, but hey it’s better late than never!!!
