My relationship with ropes ✨🌾 ENG/ESP I have been weaving since childhood. That is why, when I discovered shibari, I was drawn to the aesthetics of weaving on the body. I was also drawn to the sensuality and eroticism of those photographs of Japanese women tied in a traditional way. In my sessions, architecture, art and weaving come together. The person receiving the ropes is at the centre of a work of art that I build through their body, their movement, their expression and the transitions that emerge during the session. This composition grows out of conscious listening: listening to the person I am tying and supporting them in listening to their own body. A living, ephemeral work of art that is undone when the session ends. In that process of creating and undoing, we share a unique and intimate experience. #shibari #selftying #ikigairopes by @ikigairopes.studio

ACT III — AWARENESS✨🪄 Inspired by Alejandro Jodorowsky’s @alejandro.jodorowsky El Topo and its metaphor of the mole digging beneath the earth in search of the light — only to be blinded when it finally reaches the surface. Perhaps the deepest darkness is not beneath the earth. Perhaps it is believing that everyone lives under the same sun. To live in freedom while remaining blind to those who are still fighting for theirs is another form of darkness. The final act is not about reaching the light. It is about opening our eyes. 👁️✨✨✨ 🎵 Gracias a la Vida — Violeta Parra One of the most emblematic works of Chilean music and poetry. Violeta gives thanks to life while holding its beauty, love, loss and sorrow together. Her words belong to this final act because awareness does not mean turning away from beauty — it means seeing life in its entirety and still recognizing its value. #eltopo #ikigairopes #violetaparra #jodorowsky by @ikigairopes.studio
Hi, I’m Marta Navarrete Jiménez, a Chilean architect and rope artist based in Budapest. Ikigai Ropes Studio✨ is a creative space dedicated to art, movement, wellbeing and therapeutic practices. I also designed the interior of the studio myself, bringing together my background in architecture with the atmosphere and functionality I wanted the space to have. If you are looking for a place to host private sessions, workshops, classes or small group activities, feel free to get in touch. I’d be happy to hear about your project and explore how it could fit into the space.🌞 And if you are looking for support with interior design or creating a space of your own, you are also welcome to contact me.🪄 Artists, therapists, teachers and creative practitioners are warmly welcome. 🤍🪢🙏🏾 Photographer @tuszinger ✨ #interiordesign #budapeststudio #architect #ropeartist by @ikigairopes.studio
