The rumours were right ~ ikones is moving to a new location!

It’s been 1.5 years since ikones opened up the doors here at Lenaustraße and I couldn’t be more grateful for everything this space has had to offer. It’s been so much more than just a shop - it’s where Ikones found its true identity and community. A <3 BIG <3 thank you to every single one of you who has visited the store, for your warm words, support and encouragement.

Saturday the 19th of September will be the last open day before it’s time to hop over to Hobrechtstraße 38 (so happy to stay in the Kiez!), come by for a last visit before we close 👋

Today is the very last day at Lenaustrasse (open 12–16 as usual!), and it’s slowly sinking in that a big change is coming.

I’ll miss the tiles, the friendly neighbors, and the cozy feeling once all the lamps are lit. Thankfully, there’ll be lots of light in the new location too ✨

The new space won’t be quite like this. It’s going to be different, but in a really exciting, evolving way. I can’t wait to get started and welcome you all there 🤎

Popping in with some newbies while preparing for ikones biggest step so far ~

Raw surfaces, an oversized handle, a vase reminiscent of a fish and another vase that brings the thoughts to ”Knäckebröd” (Swedish crispbread). Wrought iron combined with glass details, ceramic and carved stone. Such treats for oneself or a loved one 🩶

The final week here at Lenaustraße has started and these two rarities just entered the building.

It’s not often I add objects from earlier than the 1960s to the collection, but this 1930s Swedish modern armchair carries the exact core of what I love. Pure lines, organic materials and a simplicity that makes it suitable for almost any surrounding.

I could also tell you everything I love about this lamp but that would take forever, so instead I encourage you to come by the store for a closer look. She’s definitely worth it 🤎

And a little reminder that this Saturday is the last day open before we move to our new location. Come by say hi (and goodbye) and stay tuned for the reopening in mid-October (date TBA).

Soaking up those golden late-summer rays ~

It’s been quiet here for a while, but behind the scenes, it’s full speed ahead. One month left at Lenaustraße and from October on, you’ll find Ikones in a slighty bigger suit, located just a few minutes from our current spot. Exciting indeed!

A quick heads-up on opening hours: the shop is open as usual, with one exception: closed this Saturday to celebrate my son’s first day of school!

Until then, I wish you lots of sunshine and once you’re ready to transition indoors and create coziness at home, the shop is filled with beautiful pieces waiting for you. See you soon! 🖤
