Magnificent mess of a human being.

You’ve been through the fire, haven’t you? The kind of fire that doesn’t just burn—it scorches, shatters, and leaves you breathless in the ash. You’ve faced a grief so sharp it could carve names into your bones. “Papino” whispers in the quiet hours, a name that still rings with love even though the voice is gone. The world felt smaller after that, didn’t it? Like it folded in on itself.

But here you are. Breathing. Walking. Laughing, even, because somehow you still know how. You, my dear, are the phoenix. The mythical bird, the stubborn survivor, the weirdo with soot in her hair and a fire in her heart. And yeah, maybe you’re a little crispy around the edges, but look at you—still rising.

You’ve turned your pain into stories, your scars into stardust. You’ve taken that lacerating loss, that unbearable grief, and you’ve carried it like a talisman—both a burden and a badge of honor. The world sees your smile, but it doesn’t always see the weight you’ve lifted to wear it.

And through it all, you’ve made this life into an adventure. You’ve packed your bags, lost yourself in strange cities, found yourself in unexpected friendships. You’ve built a resilience so fierce it could intimidate steel. And yet, you still find ways to be ridiculous—to laugh too loudly, to cry over songs you’ve heard a thousand times, to dance alone in the kitchen at midnight.

You are the traveler, the warrior, the dancer in the dark. And while you may have thought the fire would consume you, it turns out—you are the fire.

Caro papino,

questo sarà il primo Natale senza di te, almeno fisicamente. È strano pensarlo, perché in qualche modo, tu sei sempre qui. Lo sei nei nostri pensieri, nei ricordi che spuntano all’improvviso, nelle piccole cose che ci fanno sorridere o commuovere. Sei nei segnali che ci mandi – e grazie, davvero, perché non ti smentisci mai. Sei sempre stato uno che non lasciava mai nulla al caso, e ora fai lo stesso da lassù.

Lo so, avresti voluto che passassimo le feste con quel mix di leggerezza e ironia che ti contraddistingueva. Il tuo modo di fare battute anche nei momenti più impensabili era unico. E ora, beh, ci stai lasciando spazio per farlo noi… ma siamo molto più scarse, diciamolo. Quindi sì, c’è un vuoto, enorme e incolmabile, ma cerchiamo di riempirlo con il tuo esempio.

Grazie, Papino. Grazie per tutto quello che ci hai dato finora. La tua presenza ci ha insegnato a vivere con forza e dignità, a sorridere anche nei momenti difficili, e a non dimenticare mai cosa conta davvero. Ma grazie anche per quello che continui a fare per noi. Spesso, nei pochi momenti di respiro in queste giornate frenetiche piene di burocrazia, mi fermo e ti vedo: “Ok, questo è papà.” Quei piccoli segnali – un pensiero che arriva al momento giusto, una situazione che si risolve quando sembrava impossibile, un ricordo che ci scalda il cuore – sono tutto ciò di cui abbiamo bisogno per sentirti ancora vicino.

Quest’anno sarà tutto diverso, papino. Le feste saranno atipiche, non c’è dubbio. Ma ci proveremo, con te sempre nel cuore, a ridere, brindare e ricordarti come meriti: con amore e gratitudine e qualche lacrima, perché sì, piangere è salutare oh. Magari ti concederemo anche un brindisi con un bicchiere di quello buono.

Buon Natale, Papino. Sei sempre stato e sempre sarai il nostro punto fermo. Ci manchi da morire, ma promettiamo di portarti con noi in ogni cosa che facciamo.

je t'écris...

J'ai réalisé mon rêve le plus profond. Je me suis sentie comme une petite fille heureuse dans un parc d’attractions, dans ce cas un parc d'émotions.🤍
Je t’ai découverte enfant grâce à mon papa, et j’ai grandi avec tes chansons. Elles ont accompagné les plus beaux moments de ma vie, mais aussi les plus difficiles: les crises de panique, l’anorexie, l'endometriose, le lutte de mon père.
Dans ces moments-là, ta voix était ma médecine. Tes chansons ne sont pas seulement des chansons pour moi: ce sont des souvenirs, des émotions, des morceaux de ma vie, la clé de mon coeur.
Grâce à toi et tes chansons, une partie de mon père restera toujours avec moi et tu m'a rempli le coeur de joie.💙
Je sais que tu as toi aussi connu la perte de ton papa et traversé des épreuves qui auraient pu te faire renoncer. Aujourd’hui, te voir sur scène pour ma première fois et avec te mots me rappelle que l’on peut survivre à ce que l’on pensait impossible à surmonter. Toujours.
Moi aussi, j’ai dû apprendre à vivre avec la perte de mon père et avec l’endométriose. Même si la douleur est encore là, je suis là. Ma douleur CHANTE grâce à toi.

Alors merci, Céline. Pour ta voix, pour tes chansons, pour la paix et l’espoir qu’elles m’ont apportés au fil des années. Pour ton si doux sourire.
Tu ne liras probablement jamais ces mots, mais j’ai envie de les écrire quand même. Et si, par hasard, ils arrivaient jusqu’à toi...

Ces deux dernières années, à cause du décès de mon père, j’ai connu des moments de larmes, de souffrances physiques et de désarroi. Mais jamais, comme aujourd’hui, cinq jours après avoir vu le concert, je n’aurais imaginé ressentir une joie aussi grande. Dès que j’ai compris qu’elle allait sortir, j’ai commencé à pleurer comme une petite fille.
En effet, son geste…
C’est peut-être difficile à expliquer, mais Céline n’est pas seulement ma chanteuse préférée: elle est un refuge quand j’ai peur, une lumière quand je me sens perdue, un sourire quand je suis triste et ce qui me liera pour toujours à mon père. L’attente en valait la peine: une lettre donnée comme je le souhaitais à son manager et un petit mot de ma chère Céline.
Ce n’était pas un jour de concert, nous étions seulement 10 personnes et moi j'étais devant elle avec une veste verte. C'était un simple lundi, mais je sentais dans mon coeur qu’elle sortirait, même si ses sorties ont toujours lieu quelques heures seulement avant les jours de concert.

Une chanteuse humble au cœur immense.
Je suis heureuse et mon cœur est comblé.

I started 2025 already tired.
From a loss I hadn’t finished processing.

My father died at the end of 2024.
When the year changed, nothing really reset.

Grief didn’t arrive loudly.
It stayed.
In the body.
In the mornings.
In the weight of simple things.

This wasn’t the year of the goodbye.
It was the year of the aftermath.
Of learning how to live while something is missing.
Of realizing that loss doesn’t fade.
It reshapes you.

I spent months holding myself together.
Not gracefully.
Just honestly.

At some point, I made a quiet decision:
to protect my time.

Not productivity.
Presence.

Time for my family.
Time for my partner.
Time for the people who stayed close
even when I didn’t have the words.

Because work matters.
But life doesn’t rewind.

Despite everything, I worked.

I reorganized @verbavoxtranslations and @hostess.world
I built, adjusted, evolved.
I kept things moving even on days when I felt barely functional.

Again and again, I created work for hundreds of people around the world.

It may not look impressive from the outside.
From here, it means everything.

Because behind every contract there’s a person.
A family.
A bit of stability in an unstable world.

This year didn’t bring applause.
It brought responsibility.

I didn’t aim for perfection.
I chose care.
I chose presence.
I chose to stay human.

To the people I work with, and to my clients:
thank you for meeting me where I was,
not where I was supposed to be.

You didn’t just support my work.
You supported me.

I end this year tired.
But grounded.
Grateful.
Clearer.

2025 didn’t harden me.
It softened me and made me braver.

And with my family by my side,
that feels like enough.

For 2026:
to keep building with care,
and to live in a way that honors love, loss, and truth.
