During the Accelerator's program hosted by the Ilorin Innovation Hub @ilorinhub , my team and I met a couple of founders and Tech investors. Most especially Mr Temi Kolawole and Mr Iyin Aboyeji, they both paid attention to our proposals and would love to have further discussion as to it's success.

For us as a team we consider this a bold step in the right direction, to have Mr Iyin and Mr Temi very much interested in what we're doing is a big one for us.

This is just the beginning of something blissful!

kudos to the entire team @ilorinhub for putting this program together💎 taken in G.R.A. Ilorin, Kwara state by @ilemona_codes

I’ve been working on an e-commerce platform for Deemachiz Bedding, and it’s gradually taking shape.

The mobile experience and admin dashboard are responsive and reliable, while the payment system is intentionally still in test mode where real payment processing hasn’t been engineered yet.

Tech stack I used ;
Next.js , TypeScript , Tailwind CSS for the frontend
FastAPI for the backend

I deliberately separated the frontend and backend to keep the architecture modular and scalable, while leaving room for future integrations like AI-powered features and agentic workflows.

This is still a work in progress as better UI's and features would be out in place so it's safe to say we’re getting closer to production.

Most bad property decisions don’t come from lack of money.

They come from asking the wrong questions.
I’ve seen people inspect properties and ask:

Is it fine?
Do people like this area?
Can I afford it?
But the questions that actually matter are:
Who will realistically rent or buy this in 5 to 10 years?
What developments will increase or reduce demand here?

How liquid is this property if I need to exit or restructure?

In Nigeria, real estate rewards patience and planning, not urgency.
Infrastructure, population movement, policy changes, and access matter more than aesthetics.

Property punishes vague thinking.
Real estate isn’t about buying what looks good today.
It’s about buying what still works long after emotions fade.

This is why two people can buy property in the same city and one builds wealth while the other gets stuck.

Same market.
Different thinking.
Most people only learn this after it becomes expensive.

Renting is not the problem, the problem is staying in rent without a plan .

So it's safe to say Poor financial planning is.

I’ve seen people earning well delay real estate decisions for years, then blame prices when they finally decide to act.

Real estate is not a race.
But it rewards those who plan early.
The real question isn’t

“Should I buy property?”
It’s “Do I understand why I’m buying?”

What do you think ?
