Just some amateur movie tips

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Thinking about film and food reminded me of Tampopo, this japanese jam from the 80’s about a woman trying to make the perfect ramen. Not only this is super cute and funny but the art/food direction is to die for! by @ilikethisfilm

I’ll also watch anything with Juliette but this! This movie is just love and beauty. And the art direction! And the direction (hence Cannes)! It’s something to sit and just be delighted by ❤️ by @ilikethisfilm

Probably one of (if not THE) best movies i’ve seen about addiction. Tender, personal, from the addict point of view more than the life of others around him/her. The destruction, the pain, the shame, she delivers it all with such force of nature…She is so fierce and raw i’ll watch anything with her by @ilikethisfilm

From the same director of “And Then We Danced” this tells the story of an aunt searching for her trans niece who fled Georgia to Turkey after being evicted from home and her village. Another queer story set in a environment covered in prejudice and intolerance except this time looked from the other point of view, the opressor, the hater, in this case the aunt. Why is she searching for her niece? Does she really want to to know how she is doing? Was she really clueless of the paths a lot of transwomen are forced to take? Or is she just looking for forgiveness so that guilt doesnt consume the rest of her days? Anyhow the movie is beautiful, tender, touching and all the other characters are just as rich and loving. Even if we never get the answer to the questions, there is a big lesson to be learned here: Love and listen and respect the queer people in your life before it’s too late by @ilikethisfilm

This one is so hard to even try to describe it because it’s unlike anything else I had ever watched, it stayed in my mind for days after watching it. Search it and see it. by @ilikethisfilm

Truly is a breathtaking masterpiece, I could barely wink watching this. Sandra will keep you glued to the screen as the story unfolds. Relationships, success, sexism, misogyny, all of it mixed with subtlety to perfection. by @ilikethisfilm

Critics were not nice to this but im a sucker for Marisa who is just hilarious on this, Anne is (to me) at her best and the whole art/music direction is beautiful to watch. Found it quite entertaining and light by @ilikethisfilm

One of the most interesting films I saw in 2023 Dream Scenario is more than just a funny movie with Nicolas Cage shining the whole time. All the nuances related to social media and how fame can build and destroy in your life in a matter of weeks felt like a really necessary conversation that all of us should be having right now by @ilikethisfilm

Passages is so sexy, raw, honest. Very nonchalant and unpretentious but beautiful images, great fashion, interesting characters and a lot to unfold. Easy and fun to watch, time flew watching this. by @ilikethisfilm

Ok talk about a perfect (massive) production: this is it. Story of the man who turned history around in Argentina and his team. - based on true events. Usually not my type of movie but hands down one of the best i’ve seen this year. by @ilikethisfilm
