People get excited about meeting celebrities and I get excited about meeting powerful boss women who are changing the narrative every single day!🙋🏽‍♀️

Now more than ever we need to talk about representation, aging, health equity, women in medicine, and so much more…who better to discuss it with than Dr. Sherita Golden ❤️

And I also convinced her that she NEEDS to attend @docfluencermdo next year and be a part of our family 🫶🏾🫶🏾

7 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION DAY!

Here’s a phone number EVERY voter should have saved:

866 OUR VOTE (866-687-8683)

Are you having trouble voting? Or being told you’re not registered? voter intimidation at the polls? Not sure what to do if there’s an issue at your polling place?

CALL THIS NUMBER.

It’s the national, nonpartisan Election Protection Hotline, staffed by trained volunteers who can help you understand your rights and navigate problems with voting.

we recently had the opportunity to meet with Congressman Joe Morelle, @repjoemorelle who has been working on election security, and this was one resource he emphasized that we should be sharing.

You don’t have to wait until Election Day to call.

Please save this number, screenshot the post, share with friends and family.

EVERY eligible voter deserves the opportunity to VOTE and have it counted, and feel safe while doing so. 🇺🇸

Have you done them?

I broke my foot a few days ago and hobbled to the polls today because nothing is going to stop me from using my voice and stomping out the trash that passes as civil service. Our vote is the most powerful arrow in our quiver.

Over 20 years ago, I strapped my baby in a stroller and took him to vote. He wore a bib that said “Mommy loves me too much to vote Republican.” Today, he sent me a photo of himself with his I voted sticker. Proud mom moment. 💙

Let’s get out there and save ourselves, and each other. And don’t forget to vote down ballot! Local and state races affect our daily lives in BIG ways.

VOTE like your life depends on it. Because it quite literally does.

Racism may never go away, but we can try, and we don’t have to let it get comfortable. Remember who stayed silent, and don’t think you’re the exception. Vote to protect your freedom and your kids’ future. 🗳️

Vaccines are the only good shots, unless you’re talking about the @spurs scoring. 💪🏽💉🏀

Haters, don’t come at me. We can disagree on what team to support, but the science isn’t up for debate. Vaccines save lives. by @ilinap

I’m OK. And I used this opportunity to share with people around me that pediatricians are not paid what their adult counterparts are paid, not all ERs are equipped for children, and that almost half of America’s children are covered by Medicaid, so we have to do better by our kids and by the people who care for them. Literally everything is an advocacy opportunity. by @ilinap
