Members of @brackenghyllgc #Addingham have raised £8,000 for outdoor learning charity @nellbank, a gift that will save the charity around £9,000 every year.

The money will buy new grounds maintenance equipment for Nell Bank's 25 acre site off Denton Road in Ilkley, including a trailer mower, a powered push mower and a range of power tools.

Ilkley Harriers will once again host a 5K run around Ilkley to support the #LetsLiftTheCurfew campaign.

Ilkley Harriers invite local runners and community members to a sociable 5km run on Tuesday 27 October 2026 designed to to raise awareness and promote a safer environment for women to get active outdoors after dark.

The groups says all abilities and paces welcome, and men are encouraged to come along and show their support too.

Participants are asked to meet at 6:30-7pm at Ilkley Lawn Tennis & Squash Club, ready to run at 7pm. The club bar will be open afterwards for drinks and a chat.

The Ilkley Jubilee Historic Rally will take place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October 2026, bringing together 90 competing crews for a two-day navigational rally.

Organised by Ilkley and District Motor Club, the rally first took place in 1991. It was conceived by the same team that had successfully organised the ‘Olicana’ Road Rally during the 1980s.

This year’s rally will depart from Otley Market Place at 6pm on Saturday 24 October. Spectators are warmly invited to come along, see the competing cars and wave the crews off as they begin their journey.

The cars are expected to return via the Newall direction, crossing the river before reaching the finish at Otley Golf Club from 4pm on Sunday 25 October. The event is also a round of a national championship.

Local singer Mand invites musicians and music lovers to a relaxed, informal sing-around at Ilkley Library on Saturday 24 October, 1pm–3pm.

Everyone is welcome to play, sing, share favourite songs or original music, or simply enjoy listening. Whether experienced or just starting out, all are encouraged to join in.

The local theatre community have paid tribute to Gary Holmes following his sudden death at the weekend.

Gary was the President of @ilkley.musical.theatre.society, member of @yeadontownhall and much loved and respected thespian.

Away from the stage, Gary was a retired firefighter who dedicated many years serving his community.
