POSTS STORIES REELS

I’ve currently got *checks notes* six books on the go.

What’s the maximum number of books you’ve ever had on rotation?

I’ve got my reading mojo back and am currently immersed in a true story of a boy from North Korea.

‘What are men to rocks and mountains?’ is a book quote I repeat almost daily.

What’s one of your faves?

Stop scrolling.

Pick up a book.

Brother’s Keeper starts in 1950, and we follow a family as war breaks out between North and South Korea.

It’s the journey of an eldest sister and middle brother, the horrific situations of war, the expectations of females and the complicated family relationships.

It was insightful, educational and my gosh, it was heart-wrenching.

A solid middle grade historical fiction!

I haven’t been reading much this week, so I’m going back to my tried and true method of rereading a book that gives me comfort.

This time it’s The Amberglow Candy Store.

Libby books not syncing with Kobo?

#libby #kobo #bookstagram

If your Libby loan doesn’t exist in the Kobo store in your region, it won’t sync.

Even if it does exist, sometimes it just won’t sync. Annoying, I know!

There are a few ways to help sync the books.

1. Sign out of your Libby account on Kobo and sign back in again. It will automatically sync.

2. Check you are signed into the correct library (especially if you are a member of multiple libraries).

3. Ensure your Kobo software is up to date (check your settings).

4. Manually transfer via Adobe Digital Editions (I refuse to try this).

Do you have any other tips to help the books sync? by @illreadmyownway

Have some paints, a gold marker and five minutes? You can make this birthday card!

I’ve updated the list again, thanks to readers who have reached out.

A few points:

- These are for Australian-based readers (apart from the Digital Library of Korean Literature)
- Some libraries require you to live in the same state as their location
- Signing up online will give you access to a library’s digital service, such as Libby, BorrowBox and Kanopy
- Libraries are awesome, and we should be promoting and supporting them
- If you’re having trouble signing up, please contact the library directly. I’m not a librarian, I am just an avid reader who wants everyone to access resources

Public holiday calls for a balcony breakfast + relaxation.

Sharing this advice whilst acknowledging we all have different 24 hours, and what’s possible for me isn’t always possible for others.

Spent yesterday afternoon with my family’s rescue dog, Lucky. I love him so much!
