Welcome to Casa de Luz 🌞 (in true fashion, i can’t keep this short!!!) I’m Elayne Mendoza, the heart behind Casa de Luz. A beauty and wellness brand that creates experiences designed to be felt. Some would say facials but beneath the surface it is a practice of devotion, a practice of connecting to your inner-self and discovering who you truly are beneath the hustle, the noise, and the conditions. Our home is inside of @library_nineteen in Fells Point, Baltimore City. Casa is the space you come to when you feel like you’ve lost your ground, unsure of your direction in life, or to celebrate the gift of simply being alive. All aspects of life get to be here, unapologetically. When you step inside my wish is that it feels like you’re walking into your loved one’s home or maybe it’s your own—where you feel comfortable to be yourself. For me, this path is a delicate dance between living and breathing the wisdom of life while remaining a student to what life, business, and this practice has to offer….And everything in between! My work and creativity is an extension of my heart, it truly feels like a lifeline for me!! It is the type of work that requires trust, faith, and willingness. It’s a cycle of listening, giving, and receiving. It’s where I get to share my heart and sit at the seat of vulnerability with you—this is where the magic happens. Where we start to remember the meaning of life and how it shapes us. Each person I get the pleasure of working with is an opportunity to connect, to feel, to learn from their bodies, their history, and their lived experiences.  While there is so much more that I would love to share, I’ll let the natural unfolding speak for itself. 👉🏽 If you are new here, welcome. I can’t wait to meet you! ✨ If you’ve been here, thank you. You are a part of what is being built. You are a part of the pulse, the energy, the force that turns all of this into form. Deeeeepest love and gratitude. Con amor, Elayne by @illuminabyelayne
Our very first WELLNESS TALK is here! ✨ Join @illuminabyelayne and @alexruthdc for a conversation about caring for your skin and your spine with the nervous system in mind, and how it all shapes the way you look and feel. Whether you’re a healthcare professional, wellness practitioner, beauty specialist, or simply someone who wants to care for your body more holistically, this is the talk you don’t want to miss. Alex will be offering FREE ADJUSTMENTS on a first-come, first-served basis, so arrive early to get on the list! 🗓 Saturday, November 7th | 11 AM – 1 PM 📍 Library 19, Fells Point ( @library_nineteen ) This is a FREE EVENT. RSVP through the link in bio 🔗 and tag a friend who needs this! 💛 #baltimorecity #baltimorewellness #fellspointbaltimore #fellspointdistrict #baltimoreevents by @illuminabyelayne
Most facials treat your skin like it’s separate from everything else going on in your life. I don’t. As a licensed esthetician and an energy healer, I read the skin two ways — clinically, and as a mirror. What’s showing up on your face is rarely just about your face. It’s your nervous system, your grief, your joy, your lifestyle, asking to be listened to. That’s the difference at Casa de Luz. Your facial isn’t a menu of steps performed on you — it’s a ritual: mindful reflection, deep listening, intentional touch, pranayama (breathwork), meditation. Ancient practice, held in a historic room. Beauty is the illumination of the soul. ✨ Ready to feel it for yourself? Book [ The Grounded ] and come experience skincare the way it was always meant to be — a return, not a routine. When guests come to visit Casa de Luz, it isn’t always “the perfect time.” Sometimes it’s the sudden event that appeared, the moment of celebration that you didn’t see coming, the gift from a loved one who thought of you, or after having the busiest work week. We can all relate to how busy and unexpected life can be. This is part of the why Casa de Luz was built — to remind you that care isn’t an escape. It’s a part of life and how we sustain ourselves, and when we build care as an essential value in life, we grow. Your skin and energy healing awaits. Nos vemos, Elayne by @illuminabyelayne
Every single wave of movement is done with care and intention. This is part of the deep listening when in touch with the body. Grateful for this sacred work. Grateful for everyone who trusts me with their mind, body, heart, and spirit. You are a gift! 🌞✨🤲🏽 #baltimorecity #baltimorefacials #holisticfacials #casadeluz #facialmassage by @illuminabyelayne
Each step that you take inside of Casa de Luz is an opportunity to uncover your truth, your heart. The journey of going inward and upward. 🌞 Inward: Pulling back from the outside world and looking within for your shadows, fears, and patterns. 🌞 Integration: Feeling your internal state, accepting the lessons, nurturing the wounds, and expanding/shifting your awareness. 🌞 Upward: Returning back to life with wisdom, deeper understanding, clarity, and connection. I will meet you, wherever you are. ✨ #baltimorecity #baltimoreesthetician #baltimorewellness #healingjourney #fellspointdistrict by @illuminabyelayne
