Lyrics written and performed by ILLUS

Music written and produced by HEADSNACK

The first verse of this song was written several years ago for another emcee. Can you guess who? After this last presidential election I wrote a second verse and the spoken word portion and decided to record a new song.

HEAD SNACK wrote and composed the beat and DJ JOHNNY JUICE added scratches

Together we recorded the song at his New Jersey studio in 2024. In person. The way music was meant to be made.

Before we released the song, I wanted to create some art for the single and share my process with you all. In today's age of a.i., I felt it was important to crate real tangible art. This isa large piece and was done on watercolor paper with pencil, pen and ink, Dr. Martin Dyes (that I acquired almost 30 years ago when I was a Marvel Comics intern and became a professional colorist) and white pen markers.

You may notice towards the end of the drawing that my drawing had is taped up. Old age is funny. I am not sure what is wrong with my hand but I have been dealing with a lot of pain and I am trying to heal and improve it so I can continue to draw more.

This painting features 3 of my favorite emcees- LL Cool J, KRS-ONE and CHUCK D along with me, DJ JOHNNY JUICE and HEADSNACK. In my mind I envisioned the art looking very different but the sis what came out and here it is.

Thank you for checking out the song and video. I hope you enjoy it.

It's been years since I picked up the spray paint cans and the paint brushes and got busy on canvas but I was inspired by the great @mastaacepics to start a new series of HipHop portraits and I wanted to celebrate the man who has given so much amazing positive music and art to all of us HipHop heads over the years. I've been a fan since day 1 and I am honored to call him a friend. This is the biggest canvas piece I've ever done and I'm hoping to use it for a very special project in the near future. Stay tuned. Ace is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of his classic album "Disposable Arts" and is on tour in Europe (lucky) so if you are able- go see a show and support the legend. It's going to be an amazing performance. #HipHop #MastaAce #Rap #Art by @illushiphop

"Who's ILLUS?" I pressed up 100 copies of these 12-inch #vinyl mix albums and I only have 7 left. These are blank covers and I hand illustrate each one. If you are a #deejay and #HipHop collector this is a must have. Go to adamwallenta.com to get yours. This one belongs to one of the greatest producers of all time- @djpremier I've been a Preemo fan since day 1 so I had to cook up some dope art for him. #Batman by @illushiphop

Ant is a highly underrated producer, incredibly prolific and diverse with a huge collection of classic material to his name. I hate calling Ant underrated because he has a huge fanbase worldwide and those who know, know. But I truly feel like more people should know and when top producer conversations come up- he should be in the conversation. by @illushiphop

I'm truly honored to have the support of the legendary @mastaacepics and be able to call him a friend. I grew up listening to his music and he was a great inspiration for me, not just as an emcee but as a human being. I raised my sons on his music and now I get to share these experiences with them and spread the love. Thank you for all that you do, Ace. #HipHop life #Sons #Fathers #Artists by @illushiphop

No ai was used to create our PUNK TACO books. Just a lot of creative insanity and hard work. Preorder now and help us sell 1 million copies. I’m told that will never happen but I don’t believe those people know what they are talking about so I don’t listen to them. Who’s down to rock with us? PUNK TACO is available to preorder EVERYWHERE! by @illushiphop
