Previously, removing lines outside the text meant dragging with the Shape Builder Tool and gradually deleting the unwanted parts...😵‍💫

With #illustkit ’s Remove Outside Path, simply select the text on top as the cutting boundary to remove the excess lines outside it, keeping only the portions within the text.
Then use Transform Each, enable Random, and adjust the Horizontal Move value to stagger the lines left and right—creating a text effect full of speed and motion! ✨

With the Scissors Tool, you used to have to click each path individually to cut it. Now, with the Katana Tool, simply drag across the lines to cut multiple paths at once. Then use Transform Each to offset the lines, turning an orderly pattern into natural, staggered ripples that add depth to the water’s surface!
