Behind every new travel brand is… a founder running around with three tripods. 🎬🫠 Here’s a little BTS from my solo founder trip through Copenhagen. I’m new to this, so, needless to say, there isn’t a production crew behind the camera (yet). It’s just me, a crossbody full of camera gear, and a lot of creative problem-solving. Every shot you see from this trip was captured solo. 😌 The irony? My filming equipment took up more space than my clothes. All of my clothes for this trip fit inside a single #VāyuCube (vaa-you meaning air in Hindi), @mysamaan vacuum compression cube.🧳💨 That’s exactly why I designed it: simple but mighty, so you can travel lighter, pack more intentionally, and make room for what matters most. Hi there. 🤍 If you’re new here, I’m Sadé (pronounced Sha-day, like the singer 😌). I’m so happy you found this little corner of the internet. Illustrated by Sadé is my little visual diary 📔, illustrating a collection of the places I’ve explored, the lessons I’ve learned, and the moments that have shaped me. While I certainly enjoy collecting passport stamps, travel means so much more to me than that. For me, it’s a political act. It’s my personal journey toward enlightenment. My way of collecting perspective, building confidence, and growing closer to myself. I love wandering through neighborhoods, getting lost in museums, trying local food, and listening to the stories of the people who make every destination unique. My effort to battle depression, coupled with my passion travel eventually inspired me to build my dream travel brand, @mysamaan, from the ground up. Just a humble second-gen Black Cuban-American trying to make the ancestors proud. 🖤🙌🏽 My hope is that this page inspires kindness, joy, and curiosity to see a little more of the world…and maybe even explore a little more of yourself.
