I am really excited to share my illustrations for the @foliosociety edition of 'Brooklyn' by Colm Tóibín.

'Brooklyn’ was the first book I read by Colm Tóibín, who immediately became one of my favourite writers. I thoroughly enjoyed transporting myself to 1950s Brooklyn by looking at lots of imagery and drawing inspiration from my own family’s photos of Ireland at that time.

Thank you so much to the wonderful Sophia Schoepfer, Alfie Kimmins, Lara Pitcher and the whole @foliosociety team. It was a real honour to illustrate 'Brooklyn' ❤️

'Brooklyn' is part of The Folio Society’s Holiday Collection, which launches on 13 October. I'll share more soon ...

Hello! I’m Devika Oza, a picture book illustrator and here are some generic tips to become an illustrator that worked for me! This is the first time I’ve sat down and spoken to the camera like this in an attempt to be more present on social media and even though I had 5637193 takes of the same shot and laughed at how cringe I sound to myself, I had so much fun!

Let me know if these tips help you at all and if you’d like some more insights from yours truly 🥰 by @illustratorsireland

The IGI held our second visit to the National Gallery to have a special viewing of some original Harry Clarke pieces. Then coffee, we took in the Rembrandt to Matisse exhibition and then some of us enjoyed a glass of wine in Note. A great evening. Thank you to everyone who joined. by @illustratorsireland

A collective of picture-book authors and illustrators has launched the Look North Campaign, celebrating new picture-book releases in Northern Ireland - including two members of Illustration Ireland.

The grassroots campaign aims to showcase the wealth of children’s books being created in Northern Ireland. At a time of growing concern around AI-generated children’s books, Look North is a timely celebration of human creativity, craft and storytelling. by @illustratorsireland
