🙏🏽🕊️
2018, Atlanta — Pittsburgh (Zone 3)

I was in my neighborhood voting during Stacey Abrams’ run for governor, camera in hand, just trying to document the spirit of Election Day…
and then I looked up and saw Jesse Jackson standing outside 😳

I got nervous — not intimidated — just overwhelmed knowing I was face to face with someone who has been a big part of our Black history. When I approached him, I didn’t even know what to say. I reached out my hand, and he embraced me with love like a brother. Humble. Kind. Still present and Still doing his work 💯

8 years later, This photo hits harder and means so much . Saddened to hear about the loss, but forever grateful for the moment and the energy we shared ❤️‍🔥

Rest in power, Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr. God bless your family 🤲🏾

Here’s the clip from when I was on @QueenzFlip’s stream this past Sunday! 🔥🎥

The crazy thing is, I had NO clue he was in Atlantic City with the Mayor. I just happened to catch them before they left Back Maryland 😂

I saw them filming, but I didn’t realize he was live streaming at first. So I was honestly just having a genuine, natural interaction with him.

As soon as I left, I started getting mad messages telling me I was on his stream. That’s when I was able to get this clip. 😂

Moreless, I’m just glad this moment was caught because it really displayed the POWER OF NETWORKING, which is one of the biggest reasons I created @FromTheBottomTV & @FromTheBottomNetwork in the first place. Everybody is connected within 5 people and you never know where a conversation can lead to.

Some things are just meant to happen… and this was one of those moments. 💯🙏🏽
