My First transformation cut. 💈🔥

Every barber starts somewhere, and this is another step in my journey. Taking the time to learn, improve, and perfect my craft one client at a time. Grateful for everyone who trusts me to bring their vision to life.

Taking care of my older brother has taught me patience, consistency, understanding, and unconditional love. Since he’s autistic, I’ve learned how important routines, hygiene, and self-care is especially for people with mental illnesses — not just for appearance, but for confidence, comfort, and independence. Every time he allows me to cut his hair, I’m doing more than lining him up or making him look fresh. I’m teaching him the importance of taking care of himself, staying clean, building healthy habits, and developing routines he can eventually do on his own.

Some days take more patience than others, but I never take those moments for granted because I know trust means everything. I want him to always feel comfortable, understood, and supported without feeling judged or targeted.

A lot of people don’t understand that autism doesn’t define a person — it just means they experience and process the world differently. And if I can help make life better for him while helping him grow more independent and confident in himself, then I’m going to do that every single time and I’ll always stand beside my brother no matter what. 🧩💙

First attempt on myself. I have a lot to learn but it’s worth it. #selftaughtbarbering by @illwillcutsnj
