I accidentally planted this beauty and only later found out it’s 🌿 Plectranthus monostachyus – a humble herb with powerful traditional uses.

Nature always finds a way to surprise me 🤍
Here are 5 traditional health benefits people love it for:
1️⃣ Helps relieve cough & mild flu
2️⃣ Supports digestion & reduces bloating
3️⃣ May ease mild headaches
4️⃣ Traditionally used for minor inflammation
5️⃣ Supports overall body immunity

How to consume it 🌿
✨ Herbal tea – Boil 4–5 fresh leaves in 2 cups of water for 5–10 minutes. Drink warm.
✨ Infused water – Lightly crush leaves, steep in hot water.
✨ Steam inhalation – Add leaves to hot water, inhale the steam for congestion relief.
✨ Pounded paste – Traditionally applied externally for minor discomfort (external use only).

I’m still learning.
Anyone else growing this in their garden?
