What a day at @ilmingtonshow 🎉!!

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who helped us put on our Amazing Human Fruit Machine 🎰 and to everyone who came along and played 🍎🍐🍋🍌.

Another great turnout and brilliant event! See you at the next one ✨

THANK YOU 🙏🏻 to everyone who came along, sponsored, volunteered, planned, organised & supported this year’s Ilmington Show.
Once we’ve finished tidying up, we’ll work out how things went but it sure felt like a good one! 🎉 #IlmingtonShow #Cotswolds #VillageShow by @ilmingtonshow

Last Saturday, I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Ilmington Shindig - ahead of the @ilmingtonshow - and even better, I was invited to be part of the evening as a guest singer! 🥰

From the brilliant atmosphere and fantastic organisation to the delicious food (the pizza gets a VERY big thumbs up from me 🍕), it was such a fun evening from start to finish.

And what a crowd… more than 200 people came along! 😍

I also had the absolute blast of joining The Weird Side Of Average on stage to sing the final two songs of the night. What a way to finish! 🎤

We were incredibly lucky with the weather for most of the evening, although the rain eventually decided it wanted to join the party too… 🌧️

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, sang, danced, cheered and made it such a memorable night, and a very special thank you to the organisers for inviting me to take part. I’m so grateful to have been included. 💖

Swipe through for a little glimpse of the evening… and make sure you get to the final photo for proof that my husband is apparently completely unbothered by the British weather. 😂

What a night! 💫

Fly past Update!! The @bbmfclub Battle of Britain Memorial Flight has informed us that we are to expect a SPITFIRE MkXV1 - TE 311 (the clipped wing one!) @ilmingtonshow at the earlier time of 13:41 hours tomorrow.

Let’s hope conditions allow the flight to go ahead 🤞🏻 We’re forecast a little more rain this afternoon and overnight but tomorrow looks largely dry & bright ⛅️

Perfect show conditions, see you then 🌻

Yes, it’s raining!! The land really needs it so we’re celebrating 🌧️ and of course, @IlmingtonShow will go ahead on Bank Holiday Monday as planned, as it has for decades - we won’t let a little rain stop us and the forecast for Monday is a LOT drier 🙌🏻

Parking is free and plentiful this year, with NO ROADWORKS to hold up traffic 🎉

Please check the attached map & follow the signs as you enter the village to your nearest car park.

🅿️ Blue badge parking and drop-off zone is on the main show field, check the map.

See you from midday on Monday!

We’re delighted to announce that Saturday’s Ilmington Shindig is now completely sold out! 🎉
No tickets will be available on the door, sorry to those who were holding out.
Due to the change in weather, we’re increasing the available indoor space with a dry seated area, and can’t wait to see ticketholders on Saturday from 6:30pm💃🏼🕺🏼

Please note that this event is related to, but separate from @ilmingtonshow, which does not pre-sell tickets, and is still very much open on Bank Holiday Monday! 🌻

Due to the drought, the weather gods may seem to be against us but there are some sun and heat loving vegetables and flowers in our gardens and allotments that are thriving, so why not enter a few sections at the Ilmington Horticultural Society Annual Show of Flowers, Fruit, Vegetables, Cookery and crafts @ilmingtonshow?

The schedule of classes you can enter is available at @ilmingtonshop or there’s a link in our bio. You don’t have to be a local, anyone can enter, and there are prizes & cups to win! 🏆

Think positively and creatively, and don’t forget that there are climate-proof sections (preserves, bakery, drinks, handicrafts, art and photographs) to enter and win 🥇

Bring your entries and completed forms along to the Horticultural marquee on Show day Monday 31st August between 8:15 and 10am and register on the spot.

As the cookery demonstrations were so well received last year, this year we have two more in the Pavilion at Ilmington Show on bank holiday Monday.

Firstly, Chava from @flavourphotos is an expert in plant based cookery with over 25 years of experience and has called Ilmington home for 23 of those years. Chava works from her home kitchen as a recipe writer, food stylist & photographer. You’ll see her work featured in UK magazines with food brands and also for national organisations including the UK’s Vegetarian Society and Vegan Society.

This year, Chava’s demo is all about bringing the holiday vibes into your kitchen with Smoky Butterbean & Mushroom Tapas, followed by a Summery Paella. Learn how to make these classic Spanish dishes at home using seasonal ingredients that cut down food miles. You can easily feel nourished and enjoy tasty dishes that are healthy, planet-friendly and affordable.

Our second demonstrator is Culinary Bites with Sophie award-winning private chef @sophiehyam. With over 35 years of culinary experience, Sophie creates tailored menus using quality, locally sourced seasonal ingredients and she will be demonstrating dinner party dishes to wow your guests.

Join Chava and Sophie in the Pavilion on Monday at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm

Kindly organised by canine hydrotherapist Debbie Honeychurch of
Avonside Canine Hydrotherapy, Stratford-on-Avon at Clifford Chambers. Debbie’s pool offers a complimentary therapy in canine care*🐾. The dog show will be on dry land but fun will be had by all!🐶

- Fastest sausage finder
- Best family

- Best child handler
- Best trick
- Dog judge would most like to take home

NB: Dogs need to be on a lead at all times.

*Is your dog slowing down?

“Getting old”?
Post op?
A sports dog?
Or just never experienced swimming before?
Hydrotherapy is a fantastic all round therapy for your dog whether they are older, recovering from injury or a young dog that needs to burn off some energy in a controlled non weight bearing environment.

Water increases resistance to movement, a five minute swim is approximately equivalent to a five run!

Thanks to Debbie for kindly sponsoring, organising & running the dog show; we can’t wait to welcome your beloved dogs! 🐶
