🎤 Iga Ścibek [PL] @ilogagu 👉🏼 An illustrator creating warm, emotionally rich characters filled with tenderness and a touch of lovable awkwardness. She found her way into children’s illustration at her own, unhurried pace – first working as a graphic designer, and later as the winner of the Grand Prix in the international Jasnowidze illustration competition. Her debut picture book, What Is This Little Ball?, was selected for the Treasures List of the Museum of Children’s Books and received an IBBY distinction. Her second book, Just a Frog, was published by the UK-based Post Wave Publishing. Her work has also been featured in the Spotlight on Polish Illustration exhibition in Taipei. She is currently working on three new children’s books.

✨🚨SPEAKER ALERT! 🚨✨

🇬🇧 Our next speaker will talk about how, as a landscape architect with a background in graphic design, she found her way into the world of picture books for the youngest readers. Please welcome @ilogagu ✨

Some time ago, @harrietbirkinshaw from @postwave_books reached out to me asking if I had an idea for a book… and I did! An idea that had been living in my head for many years. Harriet was the most wonderful support throughout the entire process of creating this book.
@marc.majewski , my art director, told me during our very first meeting that he laughed out loud while looking at the sketches - and that’s when I knew I was in the best company.
Thank you both so much - working with you was such a beautiful adventure! During our Zoom meetings, I was sometimes so excited that my internet connection could barely keep up with me :)
I haven’t been here in a while, so Instagram is probably punishing me :D, but I encourage everyone to pre-order at Waterstones - Link in my bio 💕
I hope you’ll love the story of Sophie and the frog! 👀 by @ilogagu
