Yesterday, we had the honor of hosting Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, alongside Her Excellency Hajiya Nana Shettima, Wife of the Vice President of Nigeria, His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, Her Excellency Amb. Prof. Olufolake AbdulRazaq Wife of the Kwara State Governor, other First Lady members of the Nigeria Governors’ Spouses Forum, and other distinguished guests and officials at the newly completed Ilorin Innovation Hub building. The First Lady of Nigeria was in Ilorin on a 3-day visit to Ilorin where she held several engagements and visits to projects across the state.

The First Lady of Nigeria demonstrated a strong understanding of our mission and commended our efforts. We shared our journey—how this idea became a vision embraced by our Governor, and how, through his leadership, we’ve attracted partnership with IHS Towers, who have bought into this vision and taken it to the next level.

When we started this journey, our goal was simple: to equip local talent with the opportunities they need to thrive. Today, thanks to strong partnerships, that vision has grown beyond our expectations. Our key operations partners, IHS Towers, started right here in Nigeria and have since expanded into one of the world’s largest independent telecom infrastructure companies. Their success is proof that Nigerian companies can scale globally, and this is exactly the model we want to replicate—nurturing startups and entrepreneurs who will create jobs, drive innovation, and make a lasting impact on the global stage.

As we prepare for launch and official commissioning in the coming weeks, we appreciate @realaarahman, @followkwsg, @bosuntijani, all our partners (Alliance Française @af.ilorin, @undpnigeria, @kwasucde, @nitdanigeria, @fmocde), our contractors and vendors who have worked tirelessly to make this dream a reality. taken in Ilorin Innovation Hub by @ilorinhub
