This post has been a long time coming. But I’m not bound by law anymore to keep my mouth shut. So on this day February 20th, 2026, I scream. I scream across this campus and I scream across my community until everyone has heard my voice.

You r@ped me on December 9th 2022. I was blacked out drunk. You were supposed to be taking care of me. You were supposed to someone I trusted. You were supposed to be my friend. But you took advantage of me in my most fragile state.

Throughout our relationship, you would yell at me, belittle me, put your hands on me, and I thought that was love. I thought that the abuse you put me through was love. But it isn’t. Love cannot exist amongst abuse.

UW-Madison - you are allowing an abuser to get away scotch-free. After r@ping someone he continues to be an active participant on this campus. Meanwhile I don’t feel safe going to spaces because I know I am not protected as a victim on this campus

I’m so tired of being silent. Of being SILENCED. But i’m not scared anymore. You, nor this university can scare me anymore.

And don’t you dare to ask me “why didn’t you leave him”, “why didn’t you call the cops”, “why did you stay”, because you clearly have never been in an abusive relationship before. I was so madly in love with this man and you don’t just stop loving someone. i was trapped. I used to not understand why people in abusive relationships didn’t just leave… until it was me who couldn’t leave.
