Royal Enfield Classic 500 - "Matilda"

Royal Enfield was founded in 1893 by Albert Eadie and Robert Walker Smith in Redditch, England. The company started out making bicycles, but later transitioned to motorcycles. Their first motorcycle, the "Motor Bicycle", was produced in 1901 and had a 1.5 horsepower engine

The first Royal Enfield to carry the Bullet name appeared in 1931 (or ’32, depending on which model history you read). That first round, which was available in 350 cc and 500 cc versions, had a rigid frame and girder fork, typical of the period

after 86 years of production, the 500 was discontinued in 2020, making my bike a piece of motorcycle history. I bought this bike as the first installment of my collection because of it's historical value and cultural relevance to my birthplace, Punjab.
