I stopped waiting for permission and started building my own lane.

Not because I had everything figured out.
Not because I was guaranteed success.

But because I knew that staying where I was felt scarier than trying something different.

Most people wait until they’re ready.
Until they have more experience.
More confidence.
More certainty.

I’m learning that none of those things come first.

You build them by taking the step.

I’m still learning.
Still growing.
Still making mistakes.

But every day I’m becoming more of the person I want to be.

And honestly, that feels a lot better than wondering “what if?”

Different path.
Different future.

Dm “🤝” if you also want to stop following the safe path

Sometimes you need time and patience👏🏻 by @ilseschutte_

Every version thought me something. And every version brought me closer to who I am today🥹🤍 by @ilseschutte_

I stopped confusing getting even with being strong.

Peace became more important than proving a point. 🤍

Forgiveness doesn’t mean tolerating disrespect. It doesn’t mean giving someone unlimited access to you, forgetting what happened, or pretending it didn’t hurt.

You can forgive someone and still have boundaries. You can forgive someone and still choose yourself.

At some point, you have to stop carrying what someone else did to you. Give it to God, learn from it, protect your peace, and keep it pushing. 🤍

Where are my people that know we only have 1 life and we gotta do it all🩷

Sometimes I get so focused on what I haven’t achieved yet that I forget to look at the girl who started with nothing but a vision.

The younger version of me would probably be shocked to see where I am today.

I used to dream about having freedom.
Freedom over my time.
Freedom to travel.
Freedom to build something of my own.
And most importantly, the ability to create a life on my own terms.

And now I’m actually doing it.

Is everything figured out? Absolutely not.
Do I still have days where I question myself, feel behind or want more? Of course.

I’ll always be hungry for more. I’ll always have bigger goals, bigger dreams and bigger things I want to accomplish.

But I’m also learning to pause for a second and appreciate the fact that I’m already living parts of the life I once prayed for.

Little me, we’re doing pretty damn good. 🤍

And we’re only getting started. ✈️🌎
