Thoughtfulness is a skill. It considers you when you didn’t know you needed it, whatever it is. It does what it says it’s gonna do. Thoughtfulness is selfless, it listens and it comes to where you are. It may have its own idea and opinion but it considers yours. Here are some of my Disney Day favorites✨

First of all, this @carhartt sling held everything I needed and more.

My Mickey portable fan was a gift and definitely needed in my bag.
A charger because my phone being dead at Disney was not an option.

This week I ordered another round of Live Life Grand, and they’re headed somewhere special.

Still pretty amazing to watch something that started with a dream at 3 AM make its way into new rooms, new places and new hands.

A bit of life…
Great people, a lot of laughs, date nights and one of my favorite perfumes from @the7virtues. It’s clean, sweet, sexy…and I get mine at @sephora because smelling good is always necessary.

A lot of memories made! I went to Disneyland for the first time at 54 and I screamed on rides like I didn’t care. 🤪

And of course I packed my @wishgardenherbs Get Over It Immune Builder. I’ve had to pull these out quite a bit lately, and they make some of my favorite tinctures.

And somewhere in the middle of all of this, I released a children’s book.

I love hearing what different parts of Live Life Grand bring up for people.

This one was about Grand Roots, and when my friend Cardell started talking about his grandparents, it made me think about mine, Archie and Lucille Jones, my grandparents on my mother’s side.

There’s so much we carry from the people who came before us, the stories, the ways of doing things, what they taught us and even things they may not have had the words to say or all the words they had😂. Sometimes we don’t realize what they gave us until we’re older.

We all have roots. Some we know well. Some we’re still discovering. Some parts of our story may even be missing and and maybe part of living grand is knowing where you come from, appreciating what was given to you and being intentional about what you pass on.

I love the illustrations from Live Life Grand so much that I had to do something else with them.

I took one of my favorites from the Grand Fun chapter and turned it into these 4 inch art cards. I put one inside of each pre-order package and wrote a note on the back.

There is something special about handwritten notes! Thank you to everyone who pre-ordered, shared, posted, told somebody about the book or you just celebrated this moment with me. It really means a lot!

I actually made this for my family this morning. As I was making it, my husband said, “Share this, you have a chapter in your book that speaks to this”…. and he was right, so I pulled out my tools😂

There’s a Grand Health chapter in @livelife.grand with a recipe I make for my grandkids too. Sometimes living grand really is just the everyday things.

Legacy isn’t just what we leave behind someday. It’s what people experience from our lives while we’re still together.

I asked my friends I.V. and Bené what they hope their grandchildren carry with them because of the life they’ve experienced with them.

I actually teared up watching this. I’ve always cared deeply about how my children experience me, but I don’t think I had the language for it when I was a younger mother that I have now.

And now as a grandmother, I think about it even more. What will my grandchildren experience from my life? What will they know about love, joy, truth, their voice and who they are because we’ve shared life together?
