Proper hydration and strength produce optimum results. Shine isn’t always a key indicator of health or hydration- The behavior is. 🤏🏾🤌🏾
How it performs and reacts to products and processes is the true indication of health.

Here’s a 🔑 point from Monday’s Masterclass- when pursuing the primal goal of health and appearance - the expectation should align with the capacity of the individual fabric- not the beauty standards that we were historically tasked with achieving and creating.

Shiny, bouncy, defined, or otherwise are not hierarchy characteristics.
Let’s get familiar with words like luster, sheen, matte, functional frizz, volume, shape, structure, etc… as positive descriptions and characteristics. ✨♥️

I was awarded the “CROWN” Culture Award from the @iaamuseum! ✨🙏🏽💜

This moment was surreal to say the least. While I was being honored the work that I done in the beauty industry, the ground began to overtake me as I could feel the energy and spirit of our ancestors. Being able to place my feet on the ground where the enslaved first touched American soil almost brought me to my knees. I left with a renewed sense of inspiration to keep going. I had not done enough. If my ancestors are the mark, then I shall forge on. Using whatever resources God gave me. My money, time, intellect, voice, and body to make change. Usually the hope is for the next generation, but I say I SHALL see it!!

I didn’t have the words when I posted this pic. But I’m here. Stronger than ever and ready to share my thoughts.

To think there was a time when you argued and fought with me because I wanted you to be more than just a sit in the corner catch and shoot player. Because I saw you had more value and ability than that. Glad the work is showing and you are starting to believe and trust the process. As a guard you have to be good on and off the ball. Be able to set up the play, make the play and finish the play. Still work to do.
Look at the growth. And you did it vs older guys, playing up and playing vs Varsity players. The bar been set.

Today’s Hydrasilk Hair Wellness Experience was one big AHA…this is not a smoothing system! It’s deeply penetrating, intensive repair using H2O. And we all know, hair that is hydrated performs better.
