So happy to have spent Rosh Hashanah with family and friends - thanks to @dayenunz for organising and thanks to @pulzkit for the beatuiful photos📸.
We love celebrating at Ima and we do exclusive venue hire! Although the Jewish year has just begun, the Gregorian year is coming to a close and this means Christmas parties, work functions, get togethers, you name it! Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish new year, a time of celebration and reflection.

We eat round foods to symbolise the cyclical nature of the year. Another year has passed, and another year of genocide and apartheid wrought on the Palestinian people. It’s hard not to feel like we are caught in a loop.

In spite of this, progression is happening. More and more countries are recognising the Israeli colonial project for what it is. The world is shifting away from complacency and towards action.

We eat sweet foods to usher in a sweet new year. This year, we hope to see an end to the genocide and we are renewing and recommitting ourselves to booting out this government, fighting for sanctions on Israel and building Jewish life in Aotearoa that aligns with our values of peace and justice.

We want to wish our whānau and community a big shana tova this Rosh Hashanah! While it’s important to celebrate we also want to recognise that times have been tough in Aotearoa and around the world. We are are entering the new year with a renewed fight for justice, shared liberation, a world where all our people and our environment can thrive and flourish. Last weekend of restaurant month is upon us! Our deal has pretty much meant free (and absolutely gorgeous) desserts 🍨 🍮. You’ve loved em! We’ve loved making making em!
