Our first ambassador cohort. These educators are already teaching students to build real things, and this year they’ll be doing it with AI creation in their classrooms.

They’ll also be shaping what imagi becomes and how we think about the future ready skills for students.

It’s been almost six months since my @tedxsse talk on AI in education, and the message hasn’t become obsolete yet (with the pace of change in AI, this already feels like a win !).

If anything, it’s become even more timely.

As some schools grapple with how to stop students from “cheating” with AI, I stand firmly by my point:

Raise the ambition level.

Stop assigning work that AI can do in seconds. Instead, challenge students to build and create things, demonstrate proof of work, and develop skills that will actually serve them in the future.

The barrier between having an idea and making it real has never been lower. Our expectations of what students can accomplish should be higher than ever. by @imagilabs

Lisa’s aha moment came when she asked herself: if this works for me, what happens when the kids use it?

What happens is they stop typing a question and waiting for an answer. Before they ever open imagi x Lovable, Lisa teaches them to come with a solution, and her students think it through first. Then they build as a team.

Before these South Dade Senior High students opened Lovable through imagi, they had to think.

They found a problem to solve, then worked out how a landing page could market the solution. A worksheet walked them through it: Who is it for? Why does it matter? What should a visitor do?

One group built a landing page for their school dance, since the school didn’t have a proper page or a way to sign up. Another redesigned a local skate shop’s page to build community around park updates and meetups.

Seeing their pages on screen showed them things a worksheet can’t. They could tell what they’d written needed adjustments, so they changed it and built again. Seeing it visually helped connect the dots on why audience, value and a clear call to action matter in the marketing they’re learning.

Students build. They don’t just prompt.
