OCs: Agnes and the barbarian king she married. What started out as a political marriage eventually became something far softer and more loving, with little of their former enmity left between them.

Not too sure how I feel about this piece, and the worldbuilding I have going is super in flux rn, but I worked hard enough here that not posting this feels like a bit of a waste. by @imaginarym3n

Art of my OCs from a year ago + some context to who they are.

They come from a fantasy setting, but one that is very much inspired by history, especially that of late antique Europe.

The characters, in order:
- Agnes, an empress learning to face the cruel past that has haunted her since girlhood and the grief behind the power she wields.
- Victor, a scheming court eunuch confronting their self-hatred and coming to grips with who they are.
- Livila, a barbarian king grappling with a litany of decisions in order to protect what matters most to him.

Through wars, weddings, and so on, their lives end up tangling together irrevocably.

New art acc blowing through!

Character is an OC, Victor, any pronouns.

I typically draw more historical characters, and this drawing in itself is a modern day AU of a character from a setting much more closely inspired by late antiquity. Either way, though, I figured it’s worth a go.
