Imagine provides free year-round grief support to children, teens, and families coping with loss due to death.
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day is a time to honor the babies that were born and died too soon, remember the pregnancies that ended too quickly, and stand with every family who has experienced this loss.

No two pregnancy or infant loss experiences look the same. Every journey is different, and every rainbow represents a different story of loss.

To any parent who has experienced pregnancy and infant loss, we see you, support you, and hold space for your grief today and every day.

1 in 4 people will struggle with a mental health condition during their lifetime. No matter who we are or where we come from, mental health is something that touches and impacts every community. Today is a time to come together, break the stigma, and spread awareness for mental wellness.

At Imagine, we envision a world where no one feels judgement for what they’re going through and where everyone feels empowered to share their story. Through compassion and support, we can remind one another that no one has to face these challenges alone.

Today and everyday, remember that your feelings are valid, you are worthy of love and support, and that it’s okay to not be okay.

What a wonderful evening of community, generosity, and giving back! 💙🦋

A HUGE thank you to Faherty Westfield for hosting yesterday’s special shopping event benefiting Imagine and generously donating 20% of sales!

We also want to give a special shoutout to our very own teen facilitator and author, Ryan Basta, who generously donated copies of his children’s book, Finding Uncle Marko, to customers who supported the event! 📖✨

Ryan, thank you for using your personal experience with loss to make a difference in the lives of others. We are so proud of you!

And to everyone who stopped by, shopped, and supported Imagine—THANK YOU! Your generosity helps us continue supporting children and families navigating grief.

Whether you're a parent, caregiver, educator, or someone who supports children, this session will offer helpful guidance for approaching difficult conversations with honesty, compassion, and age-appropriate language.

📅 Thursday, October 29
⏰ 12:00–1:00 PM

✨ IMAGINE US: Meet Kathy

For more than a decade, Kathy has continued to show up for Imagine families as a volunteer facilitator—creating space for people to share honestly, support one another, and find hope in the midst of grief.

Since 2013, she has witnessed what can happen when people have a safe place to tell their stories.

💬 “What brings me back to Imagine year after year to facilitate is the ability to witness courage and hope… In this sharing, I have witnessed darkness turn to light and from this light hope emerges. I am in awe of the courageous families who are able to show up and share their stories.”

We are deeply grateful for Kathy and the compassion, consistency, and care she has brought to Imagine for more than 10 years. 💙

This is Kathy. This is community. This is Imagine Us.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time for us to honor the strength, resilience, and courage of those who have faced this disease. We also remember those we’ve lost to breast cancer and stand with the families whose lives have forever changed.

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers, impacting roughly 1 in 8 women in their lifetime. Whether someone is undergoing treatment, has survived, or is grieving the loss of a loved one, no one should have to face this journey alone.

"At least you got to say goodbye." Any sentence that starts with "at least" is nothing a griever wants to hear. Real healing doesn't come from rushing to the silver lining, it comes from finally having space to say the hardest, most honest parts out loud. 🐘 That's what "the elephant in the room" means at Imagine NJ.

1 out of every 13 kids in New Jersey will lose a parent or sibling before they turn 18. By age 25, that number jumps to 1 out of 8. Grief that goes unaddressed doesn't just disappear, it can lead to substance abuse and mental health struggles, which is exactly why Imagine NJ exists: a place for kids and families to actually process it.

"I knew my children would only be as okay as I am." Lindsay Schambach, Executive Director at Imagine NJ, opens up about losing her grandfather, father, and then facing her husband's stage 4 cancer diagnosis — and the peer network that helped her survive it. 🕊️ Grief isn't taboo here — bringing it up doesn't make someone sadder, it makes them feel seen.

Sometimes the most meaningful support comes from another student.

When young people understand that grief can look different for everyone, they're better equipped to respond with empathy instead of assumptions.

Grief-informed schools don't just prepare educators. They help students show up for one another, too.

✨ IMAGINE US | Meet Tram

Some of the work that makes Imagine possible happens behind the scenes—and this summer, Tram helped make that work stronger.

As an intern at Imagine, Tram spent the summer digging into the systems and processes that help our organization run smoothly.

From auditing forms and systems to talking with teammates across Imagine, Tram helped us take a closer look at how information flows, how our teams work together, and where we could make our processes even better.

It may not always be the work you see, but it matters. Strong systems help our team spend more time focused on what matters most: providing meaningful support and programming for children and families who are grieving. 💙

Tram, thank you for bringing your curiosity, thoughtfulness, and fresh perspective to Imagine this summer. We’re grateful for the impact you’ve made!

This is Tram. This is Imagine Us.
