This means a lot to me professionally and way more personally. Music has given me so much in my life and I wanted to celebrate what it does for my family, my community and my country. As America celebrates 250 years of its grand experiment to form a more perfect union, I was given the opportunity to see what part music plays still plays in it. I spent six weeks more on the road than off with a tireless crew and incredible support from my family, friends, our @newportfolkfest team and @hearthlandfoundation. A lot of sweat, smiles, and raw emotion went into this so we could deliver some lore, narrative, and hope through conversations with artists known/unknown & citizens from every walk of life. I contend America/Americans should talk more about music to find out how much we have in common. We found it positively infectious, and if you follow @seatoshiningseaproject I think you will too 🙏🏼 by @imajs

A few years ago I received a call from one of the most impressive people I know, @bgurley . He asked if he could interview me for his new book. He told me it was about people who love what they do. He thought I qualified and then let me rant, pontificate, blather, preach, advocate and ramble over several meetings. He somehow managed to edit it all and include it in his captivating new book. Runnin’ Down A Dream is the book I wish I had 20 years ago when I was lost and wanted to give up. It’s the perfect playbook for anyone in search to find or redefine their professional purpose. I still have immense imposter syndrome being amongst the luminaries, dreamers and mavericks in the other chapters, but last week I had the chance to meet some of them at an amazing dinner Bill threw for us and they couldn’t have been cooler 🙏🏼 @dhmeyer @tfadell Also special thanks to @wesleyschultz for writing my intro ❤️ Thanks for the ride Bill.
