13 year old Imani had no hope for her future. She was so angry inside because her voice was stolen from her. Often, she didn’t have a say so in how things in her life went. She just had to maneuver through the manure. Dysfunction was normalized & it chipped away at her. Most saw her as rebellious, but didn’t take the time to recognize her deep sadness…

I’ve learn, through my own story, that bad behavior is simply a symptom. So, when I decided to become a teacher, I took on that lens. I strongly believed that if I created a safe space for children to have a voice & a healthy choice, bad behavior would be less likely to appear. & that’s exactly what I found.

Watching what the Lord has done with my heart & mind over the years STILL leaves me in awe. Through my healing journey, I have unveiled the true power of my words & my voice. The responsibility I have to use my voice. & the process of empowering others to do so will always be a part of my contributions to the revolution of this world. 🥰

I was 22 when I wrote this self-reflection/goals list. At the top, you see, I wanted to be an author.

It was my desire to enlighten people on the human experience with regard to emotions & spirituality. How to process love & loss, triumph & trials.

I had this natural, yet burning inclination to empower people & awaken transformation like never before.

Within two years of writing these goals out, I was a published author.🥹🤩

I have watched hidden-heart ideas become a reality through hard work & faith. I have seen change be catalyzed in others’ lives through my words.

So, let this be a reminder to you that with God, anything is possible. That words of encouragement & wisdom are so essential. & that Proverbs 10:24 says, “the hopes of the godly will be granted.”🩷

Yall can I testify???!🥺
About the goodness of the Lordt!
About the fact that I never thought I would be married fr.
About the fact that I’ve only ever been with men who have held me back & abused me, before this.
About the fact that I’ve never seen healthy marriages.

The biggest miracle of all is how God has restored my heart & belief in Love.
I thought I was so good all by myself— I was very successful, grounded with a clear vision & in Love with the Lord. So, I wasn’t quite sold on the idea of marriage or the fact that having a life partner would do me any good.

But through my commitment & my marriage to the Lord, He taught me that when someone Loves me with the heart that He has, it can be just as transcendent, euphoric & evolutionary🥹🫶🏽

Bryce, my King, you have changed my life in unimaginable ways. You never take advantage of me. You always prioritize my heart & my health, even if it costs you your convenience. You are trustworthy, funny & kind. You have Kingdom goals. & you have a Kingdom WORK ETHIC. 💪🏽 You are deeply surrendered to & in Love with God. You’re a bookworm just like me🤓 Your zeal for knowledge may have topped mine. 😅 Our Love for teaching the youth & gathering people keeps me inspired & hopeful for the future.💗

When it is done God’s way, with both hearts truly surrendered to His will, Kingdom Couples really go CRAZY! 🔥🔥 (I been thinking about having yo babies lately😝)

Don’t let entertainment, unhealthy relationships or misrepresentations of Christ make you doubt the true power of marriage. It really does bring health, joy, freedom & peace ✨✨✨✨

Daddy had to run errands & mommy had to run on the treadmill lol so I took my cool dude with me😎 by any means.

The fruit of perseverance is always waiting for us on the other side of *perceived* inconveniences..

In a moment where I could’ve said never mind to the gym because I had the baby, I powered through & the Lord met me there. 🥹🫶🏽

He sent his daughter as an answered prayer to me.🥹

I’d been praying for months to be surrounded by more sisters in Christ in my day-to-day life, especially now being a new mom.

There’s just a layer of understanding when the world’s of friendship & motherhood collide that’s hard to explain, but is incredibly felt. (I wish I could say that how I feel it - SJR’s voice🤣 but IYKTYK)

I met this young lady who asked ME if I was a believer & she stood TEN TOES on her faith 💁🏽‍♀️😭😍💪🏽

Not to mention, she’s been working with kids for 10 years. 🤯 The way her testimony, encouragement & helpfulness blessed me this day is beyond words. Let’s just say, this feels like the beginning of something monumental 😌

I share this remarkable moment as a reminder to your heart, if you’re needing it, that God hears every prayer & He is sending people to fulfill what you need in this season…🥰🤍 He’s so into the details!!

Man, I feel so inspired to testify about what the Lord did for me this weekend because I want EVERYONE to know that He really is in the business of redeeming & restoring! 🔥

This weekend we had an event in Miami & as we were praising, the Lord showed me what He did with the broken pieces of me that I entrusted Him with years ago…

I used to be in Miami 2016-2018 living a completely different life, unaware of my true value in Christ. I was partying, drinking, smoking & fornicating. I believed in Jesus, but I didn’t always believe what HE believed about ME.

I didn’t know how priceless I was to Him. I didn’t know I was worth more than settling or compromising in my romantic relationships & convictions. Especially when trials & exhaustion came. I would cave in & backslide into my old ways to experience relief.

But, God brought me back to Miami in 2026 with my FAMILY. 🥹💪🏽 My husband & my son! He showed me what He really can do in time & with my surrender.

He showed me that being fully surrendered to Him allowed me to attract someone truly surrendered to Him. He revealed to me that He loved me all along; even when I struggled to see my worth, I was always worth it to Him. 🥹 & what grace + mercy in that He allowed my womb to bear a child, so that we could continue on this legacy of glorifying Him through yet another generation.❤️

He is a faithful God. Allow this to serve as your reminder that God loves you no matter what. Telling the whole truth about where you’re at in life is life-changing, but surrendering it to Him is what really causes you to bear the fruit of change. & it really does take time to see some results, but that doesn’t mean it’s not on the way. Have faith & watch Him work 🤍 by @imanithompson__

Dakari just turned 1 today!!!🤯
It’s been a beautiful journey so far & we’re grateful for everyone’s love & support 🙏🏾
The biggest lesson this year is that our exhaustion at time comes from relentless investment & sacrifice.
Remaining joyful when you’ve given your all is the best example you can give your child.
He’s such a joyful baby & and we thank God everyday for his overflowing love, grace & mercy.

I cannot believe a year ago I did one of the hardest things in my life & with my solid team by my side every step of the way 😭🤍

Putting in that work postpartum ain’t no joke! 😮‍💨 IKYKY.

Most days it feels like time is not on our side.

Our babies need us around the clock. From feedings to pumping to changing diapers; bath time, playtime & simply presence. Not to mention cleaning the home, tending to our marriage, break/lunch/dinner duties ANDD running a whole business😅

BUT He has given us a spirit of power, love & self-discipline. So Ima keep giving You my yes 🩷
