To the cab driver who was dropping us back to our airbnb,

Im sorry you had to endure my explosive laughters and tears for absolute no reason. Im sure those were the longest 10 minutes of your life. I hope, wherever you may be, that you're having a good and quiet day today and enjoying some pastel de nata.

We often tend to forget all of our highs throughout the years and tend to just focus on our lows and each year, by the end of it, i do always feel down and unhappy because i occasionally only remember the tough times I've been through and often forget to see it as a learning experience. I had the urge yesterday to go through my pictures and videos of how my year journeyed and boy did I realise that my memories have not been serving me right by the end of each year and that 2023 was filled with love, happiness, new friendships, rekindling old ones, self love, mental health and the list goes on.
My aunt reminded me (and i do believe we all need to be reminded from time to time) is to not take life too serious, learn to let go of things, enjoy every bit of your journey and have patience because i do believe if you are meant for something, it will always find its way to you, no matter how impossible you think it is.
I am extremely blessed and grateful for each and everyone of you who joined me in this year's journey and by God's grace, the upcoming ones.
