As promised, here is a video of my brief presentation at @harvardkennedyschool last week! Eventhough my dad is no longer here and would never have the chance to attend my graduation, but I am so grateful that I was able to show his picure (with my mom!) in front of my dear friends & faculty members. For her whole life, my mom never sits in college. In fact, she probably doesn't know where her high school diploma is at the moment. While society might label her for being 'uneducated', to me she is far more educated than a lot of people I know. If anything, her gaps only makes her to always stay curious and hungry to learn. She is not afraid to ask when she is in doubts. She takes notes so that later she would remember on what to improve and put them into actions. She taught me firsthand the broader definition of education that it is beyond sitting in a classroom or even succesfully completing a degree! I won't definitely be where I am today without her prayers, supports, and sacrifices. Hence, two years ago I decided to take an impulsive decision to go back to school, and went through all the hassles to arrive to this moment - the moment where I can put a Harvard graduation robe on her. It is a symbolic gesture that more than me, she is the one who deserved all the applause & celebrations. Introducing our champion, Jasper Rexx Putra Cakra! Everybody knows how incredibly smart you are, Rexx. But more than that, I’m just genuinely grateful to have had the opportunity to know you personally. I’ve known you since AoC, and seeing how much you’ve grown since then has honestly been one of the most special parts of this journey. From the Rexx I first met back then to the person standing as CoC Season 3 Champion today, you’ve become more mature, more confident, more comfortable with yourself, while somehow still keeping the same warmth and joy that make you you. Your life has not always been easy, but you continue to face it with a smile, laughter, and so much positivity. Sometimes I think people see how cheerful you are and forget how much strength it must have taken for you to become the person you are today. Winning Clash of Champions Season 3 proves what everybody already knows: ELU PINTER BANGET REXXX! But what makes me proudest has very little to do with how fast you calculate or how sharp your logic is (asli kaya AI! Cepet banget, apalagi kalo udah ketemu bel). It’s seeing you grow, not only as a competitor, but as a person. I’ve seen you become braver, learn to trust yourself and others, navigate wins and losses, deal with pressure and expectations. And through all of that, you remained Rexx that we all know. I hope you realize that that is just as extraordinary as anything you’ve ever done inside the arena. Congratulations, Rexx. You truly earned this. I hope one day you’ll look back and realize just how far you’ve come. But more importantly, I hope you know that this is nowhere near the end of your story. There is still so much life ahead of you, so many things you’ll accomplish, and so many people you’ll inspire. Thank you for allowing me and all of us to be part of your journey. Percakapannya wholesome banget sih. Mungkin buat banyak orang, CoC ya kelihatannya cuma kompetisi anak-anak pintar yang datang buat adu kemampuan dan rebutan jadi nomor #1. Tapi gue pribadi, dari tahun ke tahun, justru makin ngerasa kalau yang mereka dapetin dari CoC tuh jauh lebih besar daripada sekadar ranking atau gelar juara. Mereka datang dari background yang beda-beda. Awalnya mungkin ya saling lihat sebagai kompetitor, tapi lama-lama jadi belajar bareng, ketawa bareng, kalah-menang bareng, saling support, sampai akhirnya kebentuk pertemanan yang hopefully umurnya jauh lebih panjang daripada kompetisinya sendiri. Dan menurut gue itu salah satu hal paling indah dari CoC. Di sisi lain, CoC juga kayak jadi tempat mereka mengenal diri sendiri lebih dalam. Dipaksa keluar dari comfort zone, ketemu tekanan, kecewa, gagal, bahkan mungkin sadar kalau ternyata ada hal-hal yang selama ini mereka kira mereka jago, tapi masih banyak yang harus dipelajari. Sebaliknya, mereka juga bisa nemuin sisi atau kemampuan baru dalam diri mereka yang sebelumnya nggak pernah mereka sadari. Mereka belajar gimana caranya menerima kekalahan, menikmati kemenangan tanpa harus merasa lebih hebat dari yang lain, bekerja sama dengan orang yang karakternya beda, ngatur ego, ngatur ekspektasi - baik ke diri mereka sendiri maupun berhadapan dengan ekspektasi penonton. Mungkin yang punya titel Juara 1 cuma 1 orang, tapi seluruh cast adalah champions! Bangga mengenal kalian semua! Menghitung hari sebelum CoC 3 resmi pamit! by @imanusman

And here we go, our grand finalists of Clash of Champions Season 3: @rexx.jas dari NUS dan @nsywrf_ dari UI! Hats off buat @christoffer_edbert dari BINUS yang jadi Juara III! Menarik banget fun facts buat grand final nanti! - History repeated. Kali ke-2 grand final NUS vs UI (sebelumnya di season 1) - 3 tahun berturut-turut grand finalisnya cowok vs cewek, UI girl vs Singapore boy! - 3 tahun berturut-turut UI lolos ke grand final dan selalu diwakili oleh champion perempuan!!! - Kali ke-2 teammates beradu di grand final! (Sebelumnya di s2 ada Roche vs Vannes yang berada di 1 team) - 3 tahun berturut-turut, di mana salah satu grand finalis pasti pernah masuk deathmatch/ revival! - Pertama kalinya di grand final tidak ada champion dengan latar belakang Kedokteran maupun Computer Science! Rexx berkuliah di jurusan Quantitative Finance dan Nasywaa berkuliah di jurusan Statistika - Daaaan ini 2 champions di s3 yang paling sering bolak-balik tim medis, karena yang satu mimisan dan yang satu asam lambung. 😅 Tapi despite all of that, dua-duanya melenggang manis sampai ke Grand Final! Congrats to both of you. May the best win! Udah punya jagoan belum guys? 1 episode lagi sebelum CoC s3 bye bye! by @imanusman
