Jolene - Dolly Parton 🦋

Anyone who knows me, knows that Dolly has always been my biggest inspiration. She is everything I want to be when I grow up. A kind human, a bold and fierce performer, grounded, humble, giving, larger than life, and sparkly beyond belief. She has never been bashful with who she is and never dimmed anyone else’s light while doing it. Her music has always strung my heart strings and been with me for as long as I can remember. It is hard to put into words just how much she means to me, but I hope if I were to ever have met Dolly, she would be proud.

On this night, I was popping in for a Rolling Stone Lounge Band set and saw Jolene on the set list when I arrived to get mic’d up. I asked if I could impromptu sing her song and we did just that. Thank heavens my hair was up to standard. Any chance to honor her is a gift and I hope if she heard us up in heaven, she’d give a big smile.

The higher the hair, the closer to Dolly!!!

3 YEARS WITH MY BEST FRIEND!!!
•
•
Truly, it has been the best three years with you - it is and always will be the biggest gift to love & be loved by you!
•
•
E and I have been long distance most of our relationship. Not ideal BUT we are both living our dreams and loving eachother every step of the way. What a gift that is in itself! Our most recent time together was in Disney where we got to see our good friend Prince Eric! I cannot explain to you how beautifully powerful, joyous, and life-giving it is to see those closest to you achieve their biggest dreams. E, you have worked so ever-lovingly hard & deserve everything that has ever come your way - what a gift you are to all who get to experience your passions!!! I could go on and on truly. You are an inspiration and the very testament of hard work and dedication!!!
