K-beauty products a viral Xiaohongshu makeup artist actually uses 👀

I’m always curious what professional makeup artists actually keep in their kits, especially when it comes to that glowy, soft-focus Xiaohongshu makeup look.

These were some of my favorite K-beauty finds from her kit:

✨ @aoucosmetics Tone-up cream + @elizabetharden eight hour cream — mixed together instead of foundation for a super glowy, even-looking base

💄 @dasique_official Blur Tint — a soft blurred lip without looking too matte or dry, and pigmented enough to use as eyeshadow too

✏️ @cosnori_global Lip pencil — used all over the lips as a base to neutralize naturally bright lip color so the shade you apply on top shows up more accurately

Definitely stealing some of these Korean makeup artist tricks for my own routine.

We went back to One of Twelve Studio in Guangzhou, China for a couple editorial photoshoot, and this time I brought them a sunburn/water photoshoot concept I had saved from a magazine and asked if they could recreate it for us.

They handled everything from makeup and hair to styling, posing, creative direction, and photography—and somehow turned my fiancé into a K-pop idol in the process 😭 Halfway through, I realized the entire team was more obsessed with HIM than me.

And honestly, I loved watching him get his main-character moment. He told me afterward that this was the most fun he’s ever had at a photoshoot. 🥹

Now we officially have photographic proof for our future kids that mom & dad were hot AF.

Leaving photographic evidence before we become boring mom and dad 😂

We wanted couple photos that felt less like traditional engagement pictures and more like an actual fashion editorial, so we went back to One of Twelve Studio in Guangzhou, China.

The team handled the styling, makeup, hair, posing, photography, and even recreated a magazine concept I had saved.

Safe to say our future kids will have way too much evidence of this era.

This was our couple editorial photoshoot in Guangzhou, China, and I already know these are going to be the photos we look back on years from now.

One thing I love about Chinese photo studios is how much they handle for you—makeup, hair, styling, posing, creative direction, and the final editorial photography.

Basically, you just show up and let them turn you into the main characters.

Weighted lenses have a lighter gradient at the bottom that stays in place, creating that bright, reflective eye effect that looks SO good in photos. If you love Korean colored contacts, dolly eyes, or that K-pop idol makeup look, these are 3 worth trying:

Golden honey-brown with a tiny white heart highlight. Warm, bright + very doll-like. Perfect with peachy or warm-toned makeup.

Cool gray with the same animated highlight effect. Enlarging, icy + chic cat-eye vibes. So pretty with pink or cool-toned makeup.

🩵 Reborn Moon Stone — 13.7mm
