Guide: How to LARP as a clothing brand in 2026.

This one’s for all the brand owners doing the most for absolutely no reason.

Tomorrow we’ll finally reveal the colour of our new All Over Zip. Until then, here’s a behind the scenes look at all the incredibly serious work that got us here.

Big day for colour tomorrow.

Step 1: Moodboards
Print out as many vaguely relevant images as possible. Whether they actually inspired the product is irrelevant.

Step 2: Tech Packs
Reverse engineer these after the product is finished. The information doesn’t matter, it just needs to look technical. Add handwritten notes and corrections to things that were never actually revised.

Step 3: Pantone Books
Non-negotiable. Leave them open somewhere visible so people know you understand colour.

Step 4: Product Analysis
Print the exact same product image at least 13 times. Scatter them across a table and study them individually.

Step 5: Creative Direction
Take everything from Step 4, make it A4 and print it another 60 times. Mount to several large boards and stand in front of them looking contemplative.

Step 6: Logo Development
Open the existing logo in Illustrator. Zoom in far enough that it looks like you’re changing something.

Step 7: Brainstorming
Write down things you already know in question form. Spread them across an entire wall.

Summary:
Basically, make the product first. Construct an elaborate creative process around it afterwards. by @imbusy
