Some of my favorite shots from the @blackexcellencebrunch in New Orleans last Sunday for EssenceFest Weekend.

Love how these came out. My portfolio is in my bio! More photos to come. Haven't uploaded the others from that weekend yet.

TB: @welcometojamrockreggaecruise 2025 was pretty amazing. It was also pretty sad since the hurricane hit as we were sailing in Jamaica. We as a people gathered with each other as we worried about families on the island.

Second walk. Saw this swirl of ants and it was too cool to pass up. Saw the mommies buried their babies so I gotta keep watch best I can. Also found out these are Common Snapping Turtles. Still geeked up. taken in Farmington Canal Trail by @imdannigrace

The way I'm so happy rn. Saw 2 turtles in the EXACT same area as the ones I saved Sunday. Only these were like triple in size. I was like idk what to do I hope they don't go street side so I'll check when I come back this way. Low and behold they were laying eggs when I came back.

Never in my 35 years have I seen turtles lay eggs by the trail. So NOW I got babies to protect. Let me look up when they may hatch so I can help then not go street side if I'm around.

So cool.

(Hopefully) saved 2 turtles from heading towards the busy street. Hope they stay that side. They were so cute.
