I've been DJing since 1993 and with the exception of one place (Hollywood Palace) @cherrypoppinwednesdays has felt like home.

The culture, the music, the funk & soul that I miss when I have to play "Pop Music". Here, they let me be real and people actually hear the DJS and celebrate them for who they are.

Thank you for having me all these years 🙏🏾 taken in The Room Hollywood by @imdjca

On the evening of Sep 9th my Father Marvin Hall Jr. passed away. Most of his friends have known, that he hadn't been doing very well the past few years. In some ways, it's a relief that he won't have to suffer any longer. But, it hurts to know he won't be here with us any more.

"Marvelous Marvin" had an effect on so many. He was talented, charming, friendly and was like a people magnet. I know he'll be missed by so many...including me. RIP Dad ❤️

My sister's and I will be arranging a "Celebration of Life". We will share the date and location with those of you who'd like to join us. by @imdjca

🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽R.I.P. Miguel 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
It's been a rough 24 hrs since I found out my oldest & closest friend Miguel has passed away. We met in 1987. He was my best friend in High School and well after.

Miguel & I had a connection with each other that was extremely unique! We literally knew what the other was thinking without speaking a word. Like many close relationships, we had our own language. The laughs almost never stopped. We played basketball & tennis for hours & hours. We enjoyed the same types of music and oddly enough, we were both BIG fans of System of a Down.

His favorite teams were the Raiders & Dodgers. And for some reason in the late 80s, he decided to become a Boston fan 😳 But only the Celtics, Red Sox & Bruins.
For some reason he left the Patriots off the list 🤦🏽‍♂️🤣 whoops!

Many of my personal friends got to know Miguel and soon learned what I had always known. That he was funny, kind, generous and loyal.

I love you Miguel and thank you for the great times we shared!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽 by @imdjca

A snippet of my FB Live set of 90s House I used to play back at the Hollywood Palace, Peppers & Florentine Gardens among others. Shot out to DJs like @thedjtonyb @richardvission
@i.am.artie @djajmora @thebakaboyz for unknowingly influencing me to move out of my Hip Hop comfort zone and venture into a genre that motivated me!
