Good night everyone,

Thank you for this opportunity to speak about something close to my heart the role of sports in shaping the next generation.

When we think about the future, we naturally look to our children—the leaders, innovators, and changemakers of tomorrow. And while education and technology often dominate the conversation, sports are a powerful, yet sometimes overlooked, foundation for their development.

Sports are more than just physical activity or competition. They teach values that are critical in life: discipline, teamwork, resilience, and leadership. These lessons go beyond the field or court and shape how our kids approach challenges, build relationships, and chase their dreams.

Today, we face an unprecedented opportunity and responsibility to inspire the next generation to embrace sports—not just for medals, trophies, or records, but for the life skills and health benefits they bring. In a world where screens dominate our attention and sedentary lifestyles are becoming the norm, we must encourage kids to be active, to enjoy the thrill of movement, and to discover their potential.

Sports can also bridge divides, fostering understanding and unity in a world that often feels divided. Through competition and camaraderie, kids learn that their differences make them stronger together.

As we invest in sports programs, build better facilities, and support young athletes, let us remember that our ultimate goal is not to produce champions but to nurture healthy, confident, and compassionate individuals.

To the kids who are listening: Know that the skills you learn in sports—dedication, teamwork, and determination—will serve you in every part of your life. Keep showing up, keep trying, and remember that the greatest victories often happen off the field.

Together, we can create a future where sports are a cornerstone of every child’s development—a source of joy, health, and lifelong lessons. Let’s inspire the next generation to be not just athletes, but leaders and role models in their own right.

Thank you.🙏🏼

DR.

Gracias, IMECA Over30.
